Good insight - into John's high taste as a performer. These classical music videos are, in effect, a new, intimate art form in performance, where visual/videographic impact can augment the music, more personally than in a concert hall.

I agree and I'm amazed and happy that the compositions of a very talented man named J.S. Bach have come to us now through artists such as John Feeley who are playing these exactly as they were meant to be, imparting to me such peacefulness. I wish someone would produce a movie where famous musicians from the past come back in 2021 and react to today's music, culture, infrastructure & environment.

+Emma Webber Honestly, i think there are people who generally thumb things down, to boost their own little ego or whatever that drives them.. In this case, read his Bio, this guy doesn't have to proove anything. People who thumb this down, only show their lack of knowledge about music. I cant take this 62 serious.

the fact that he stood up and acknowledged the applause track and tried to make it look like that wasn't a studio performance makes this excellent video even better. But for real I'm glad someone like this guy takes the time to transfer all this beautiful music to the guitar.

to play bach well is not easy nor is a classical guitar. Considering this suite was written for cello ..well done mr feeley. i think the guitar tone is superb and feeley exploits the pure tone quality especially the open strings. his trills are unique and his rhythm is dead on. i especially love this suite and lend my ear to anyone who tackles it.

I like the fact that Feeley respects the music enough not to over embellish or romanticise; he just owns it. Unless you are improvising, playing it straight is the way to go. Let the music speak for itself. Great upload, thanks.
