Craftsman T240 turn tight tractor has a Kohler 7000 series Engine 22 horsepower 725cc V Twin that's designed after the Kohler command commercial Pro Engine..also came with a 3 year unlimited hours warranty..the T240 T260 T310 were the exclusive first run of the Craftsman Turn Tight Series 2019 to 2021 they were built like little tanks and made to last...

I don't have any experience with those new Kohlers but the Command twins are solid. The Courage line has left a bad taste in people's mouth's. As far as the turn tight, I've had a few sears AYP units that boasted them. I'm guessing that's a new upgraded design by MTD because they make Craftsman now. Haven't seen it yet. Not the biggest fan of MTD.

@@Mr_Tecumseh I have the first first run a 2021 T240 the last year.. everything is just about metal including hood..it's a heavy tractor over 600 pounds..it's very well built..the newer versions 2022 to present have been downgraded from the original exclusive Run models..glad I got mine in 2021

Does this one have the plastic transmission? That has to be one of the worst ideas John Deere had when making these things. What makes it even worse is that they discontinued several models of the plastic transmission so it isn’t like you can just replace it when it breaks and therefore it financially totals the whole thing.

No, the l100 series was pre "general transmissions"

It's got a good reliable Tuff Torque on it. I can't stand those plastic Transmissions, their garbage. Even when functional the hydro lever flexes on that crap. The L120 and L130 were really well built units. It's like driving a tank vs. many other units.
