    Traction looks really good. I’m not sure how wide that blade is but the JD 54 will really push the front around. Using the split brakes helps a lot instead of chasing the steering but it takes a lot of practice to be smooth.

    Nicely done! It would be a nice match to put skies on the front!... or I've always wanted to see someone make a loop of chain (using an add-a-link) that just fits around the deflated front tire, then inflate it. Directional only and still a smooth ride.

    Your track system is incredible ,I see the front tires don't want to turn ,I saw another guy on my Facebook group of john Deere enthusiasts took some roller chain and he also deflated the tire and put on the chain and then aired up the tire to hold on the chain and now he doesn't have a problem with the tires sliding.

    Maybe a wider blade or some heavy rubber wings ? Sure seems to have the traction, dose the hydraulic system for the blade have a "float " setting so it doesn't want to lift the front end and helps with steering, sweet rigs nonetheless

  • @Isavetractors

    @Isavetractors

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yea I need to get some longer hydraulic lines to plug into the side that has the float function. Originally I was going to dozing dirt so I put the lift on the side without the float. More tweaks need to be done to this. But it's a head turner!

    how about v-bar chains on the front tires for better traction and steering control? Maybe spray down the blade with silicone or install a poly sheet to help roll the snow? Cool tractor and great build - just moves a bit slow to really roll snow off a plow blade.
