Within days of freshly restoring my yellow John Deere 318, I took it to it's first job to see what kind of problems I might encounter.

Great video, Neil! Good to see Bruno's first "Dirty Job" 🤣🤣🤣 Don't change the color of the grading box. Let Bruno bask in the glow of his new color scheme. The surging is an odd one. That engine didn't do that before, right? Does he have a fuel filter? Could there be something in the fuel tank of the fuel lines restricting the flow of gas? I don't know. Silly of you to forget that break spring. At least it's an easy fix. The hydraulics lever being stiff could be nothing more than the lack of use after all of the "fresh" paint. I'd hit it with a little WD-40 just to be sure. Thank you for the video, Neil. Can't wait to see both of you in the next one!

Might wanna leave a little dirt on that new paint. That yellow is loud in the sunlight. Almost had me reaching for my sunglasses in my dim lit living room. I definitely dig those big ribbed front tires. Fun to see ag rears and balloon fronts on such a small tractor. I'd probably go gray or black on the attachments. That way they still match other tractors and less work if you decide to change up Brunos color down the road.

I realized from the last video you hadn't painted the bottom of the front weights, but I actually thought it was intentional, like you wanted to leave it as a reminder or something. I did that with my industrial Ford tractor which used to be owned by the state and was painted IDOT orange, so when I went to repaint it the original yellow, I left part of the underside orange.

Great Job getting that ball field cleaned-up with Bruno. she sure a cool looking tractor 318
All your hard work paying off! Bruno looks great!
What a great series. Thank you for sharing. New to your channel. Love the JD Equipment Yellow paint job!

Hey thanks Susan. I figured out that surging problem. It was actually a loose ground wire to my coil. I tightened it up and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Always appreciate your comments, even if I don't get to them for a week! 😞

@@digdrivediy That's alright. You're a busy guy! I'm glad you figured out the surging issue! Thanks for taking the time to answer. Take care and see you in the next video, TOMORROW! 👍👍🥰🥰🤗🤗😘😘
Nice looking tractor, glad it is working out for you. God Bless keep safe
I noticed the green on the bottom of the weights but the rest of the tractor looked so good it didn't seem worth bringing up I think you should paint your grading box grey, then it will still go with your green tractors too Another great video!!
I’ve been watching every single episode of Bruno and it’s amazing

Hi Neil. Looks like Bruno will be able to earn his keep. Glad that there were only minor issues. Still looks great, even with a little dust and mud on it. Thanks for the video! -mike
Since I saw and heard you explain the circular pattern to drive when leveling I tried it. i'm now a believer, it worked great. Thanks!
Maiden voyage worked well, always have the little issues on start up, but it seemed to work well. Did yourself proud young man, thanks for the tag along video.

Your tractor is beautiful, I like the fact that you have the guts to be you and not worry about what anyone else thinks
I love the yellow tractor!! I hope it don’t take 130 days to paint the grading box!!

Watching these grader box videos makes me want one for my 318. It looks so relaxing. But I don’t have anything to grade and my driveway is blacktop 😂 great video, good job Bruno
Looks great, sounds good. Now you need a longer trailer, lol.

You're absolutely correct on that one!
Love that yellow 👍🏼
Looks great!, personally I think all yellow and Grey ripper teeth would look the best for the grader box!
Grate video Bruno looks great.
Yes, put 'er to work. Not just a pretty face! If that's all the bugs on a major rebuild you had to deal with, I'd be happy with that! I often find that after you get through the first big job in the rain/mud, you'll figure out how good your wiring job was. 😁

Right! I had a loose ground wire to the coil which was also why it was surging!
good video and job if the hydratiics are new they will get better. take care, be safe and well.
looks like it turned out good. Got me wanting to build one now
I’ve already watched the build series 2 times myself and 1 time with my girlfriend ( building matching 318s) I seriously enjoy seeing the videos of the 318 working and would love to see more videos of it working. You make the best content Neil. So glad I found the channel
Amazing work Neil and you have inspired me to make a international cub cadet 682 in a construction version like your 318
Nice to see it get to work and see what it’ll do. As far as making adjustments for the front tires, when you’re custom building things there is always trial and error and learning. As a woodworker you can definitely trust me on that! And I know all about pulling some favors. Great video as always!!

Hello Neil, bruno is looking really good at its first job . Once the graderbox is finished it wil be a nice combination . I prefer grey for the color of the grader with small accents off yellow , but thats your choice. Nice work at the ballpark.they are so lucky with guys like you, doing such a good job . No better use for a restored 318 than to groom a ball field for kids to play on! Great Job!
to help you get better control of the grader box going up and down put a inline valve in the system and that should help you out with that
Happy Birthday Barrett!
another thing you can put on it, i use on my motorcycles, sxs, and my dads tractor is SC1. it helps great with mud and dust from sticking.
Tractor turned out great. I love the color scheme. It looks great and makes it a really unique piece of equipment. Congrats on getting it done. That was a lot of work, I'm impressed.

Bruno looks great. But look here there Bob the Builder your circles are making me dizzy...Just playing Neil you did a great job and love the fact since Bruno is not used for mowing and used for construction purposes yellow is the perfect color cause that goes with theme of all john deere equipment

The industrial yellow on Bruno is pretty unique for a lawn and garden tractor. I like it, I think my next restoration will be an industrial yellow John Deere lawn/garden tractor.

Neil, Another Great Video! I noticed you always finish your videos by saying “If I’m Lucky I will see you next time “. My aunt would always tell me being Lucky has nothing to do with it. She would say “you have been Blessed “. Looking forward to your next video.
