This an audio excerpt from a cassette Speedway recording called Tape-a-Sport by Alan Merridew. I think this recording was from 1975.

Go to speedway and motorcross memorys for more splendid JD interviews...brilliant entertainment...JD does not hold back on his views on the state of british speedway today as well as a multitude of stories from his racing days....👍

Actually David this was Tape-a-sport. Usually a pre recorded C90 Cassette Tape that was taken live at the stadium. I used to listen to Poole Pirates meetings 'Live' on Radio Solent in the 70's if i was unable to get to Wimborne Road. Got to be the closest to the real thing.

Doesnt a track record have to be under 'race' conditions?
