John D. - AA Speaker - "Progress, not perfection in AA!"
One of the popular slogans in AA is read in "How it works" almost every meeting. It emphasizes the importance of progress in our own recovery. John D. shares his story as a flawed, but willing individual, and does an EXCELLENT job of sharing. His story is VERY uplifting and he inspires me with his honesty and willingness. Thank you so much John, you have an amazing story.
Addiction treatment WORKS! The Twelve Step Model has been utilized as a treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism since 1935. It is extremely important to know that help IS out there and addiction recovery is possible. If you are battling alcoholism, drug addiction, addiction or any other form of addictive behavior, there are people who know EXACTLY what it is like!
You can find out more at: www.aa.org - Alcoholics Anonymous Official Site - As should be blatantly obvious, we are in no way affiliated with them or any other Twelve Step Program. We are just looking to provide hope to those suffering from alcoholism or addiction.
It is important to note there are several ways for one to address his or her alcohol abuse treatment. Substance abuse is a very serious condition and has become an epidemic in today's world. Many people suffering with substance abuse need treatment, such as inpatient stays, rehab, or counseling. The importance and purpose of this video, and all our other videos, is to show that recovery IS possible and to give hope to those who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction issues. Help IS out there!
Every tape is carefully selected to ensure its quality and that it is entertaining to listen to. 22 years looking for the right teacher. A recovered alcoholic, recovering from meetings and the filtered cafeteria style pick n mix that had me full of the bedevilment’s and ready to check out. God sent me my teacher 🙏🏽🙏
I’m so happy that I found this app on my iPhone. My sobriety has been truly blessed.
Had no idea why I turned this on at midnight tonight.... until he introduced himself as a homegroup member from Loveland, 15 min away and shared a message I had no idea I needed ti hear so bad. 🙏 10 yrs sober. Another one of the incredible reasons I keep coming back. Keep goin!!
That's awesome! I laughed and cried through that hour, sometimes at the same time. Thank God for AA

@whotheFcaresify as soon as I read your message I got a sense of freedom, just the thought of me ending this toxic marriage, and seeing what opportunities await me gives me a sense of hope. I need to hit rock bottom and I don't know if I'm there yet. But thank you for your reply
