Scott R. - AA Speaker - "We are not a glum lot!" (Very funny!)

This is an incredible talk by one of my favorite AA speakers, Scott R. He has a wonderful cadence and style to his sharing and it is FULL of some awesome jokes! One of the greatest gifts of Recovery is the ability to laugh and this tape provides many opportunities to do just that. Scott is truly a giant in the AA community and will live on through the sharing of his experience, strength, and hope. This is such a good share, this is a MUST LISTEN! :)
Addiction treatment WORKS! The Twelve Step Model has been utilized as a treatment for alcohol abuse and alcoholism since 1935. It is extremely important to know that help IS out there and addiction recovery is possible. If you are battling alcoholism, drug addiction, addiction or any other form of addictive behavior, there are people who know EXACTLY what it is like!
You can find out more at: www.aa.org - Alcoholics Anonymous Official Site - As should be blatantly obvious, we are in no way affiliated with them or any other Twelve Step Program. We are just looking to provide hope to those suffering from alcoholism or addiction.
It is important to note there are several ways for one to address his or her alcohol abuse treatment. Substance abuse is a very serious condition and has become an epidemic in today's world. Many people suffering with substance abuse need treatment, such as inpatient stays, rehab, or counseling. The importance and purpose of this video, and all our other videos, is to show that recovery IS possible and to give hope to those who are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction issues. Help IS out there!
Every tape is carefully selected to ensure its quality and that it is entertaining to listen to. You can trust Odomtology 12-Step Recovery Media to be synonymous with the best online recovery material out there. QUALITY is our mission. This is why we have such a large and engaged following. Have fun and enjoy listening to the amazing, wonderful, and powerful recovery speakers!

For my friends who don’t listen to speakers - this is the tape I send them and they are hooked. Scott’s message is relevant, no matter how many years we have. I just turned 7 years sober & I’ve been listening to this tape for 7 years. I love his laugh!! Scott, enjoy the big meeting in the Sky. “We sold his car...” that is the most extreme I’ve heard from a speaker.

I started drinking in the early 1960's and stopped on June 26th 2006. My AA birthday is the 27th because that was the first full day of my being Sober. I'LL have 9 years on June 27th, 2015-Im 70 yesrs old, i got arrested when i had 85 days sober, i remained clean & sober since that time. Complaining and Feeling bad slowly left me the Longer i stay sober & clean. The first 2 years are for me were tough but doable. I recommend SOBRIETY.

Good job, Charles. Glad to read your testimony. I was born in '51 to my parents during the Korean War. 30 years later I was incarcerated in a County Jail after being strung out on drugs and alcohol for years. ☆ After enduring withdrawal symptoms without medical attention, which was very nightmarish, I got saved and sober and stayed that way from that point onward. ☆ I just celebrated my 38 years of salvation and alcoholism recovery October 31st 2019, which is two times the national average of all A.A. groups of America/Canada combined, from '92 onward. I try to encourage others struggling with these addictions to do all that's neccessary to total recovery: it's is so profoundly worth it and is absolutely worth the effort!! Absolutely!! Far superior to the opposite effects by a considerable distance!! ☆ Be blessed!!

One of the funniest ever. Next to Beth. My 1st AA Convention in MD. Was she the funniest ever? Idk...but when your newly sober, never been to a convention and someone tells your story with humor...there's nothing better in the world. I felt free after that night.

I listen to this man when I’m fighting off picking up … he brings me along his journey with him , this is the first time I’ve reacted so much to his alcoholic behaviours … I was that person who got sooooo excited o was getting general anaesthetic … like beaming giddy so excited , completely forgot about that they would be cutting me open performing surgery … doesn’t matter I get to be put out and pain meds after !!!! That’s just not normal behaviour lol
