    John cena granted my make-a-wish. When I was 17. God bless this man. So genuine and down to Earth. He cared about everything I had to say and we had some laughs. I was front row for a raw match where he fought Mark Henery and won. At the end of his match and the ending of the show that night, he came over to me and gave me a big ol hug and told me to never give up. God bless you John I miss you so much. God would it be amazing to see this man again and talk to him as a now 23 year old. I'm happy to be alive and well. He is A TRUE WALKING LEGEND!!! 💚💚

    Ali Butt he’s not underrated. You have to remember he’s not that great of a wrestler. However, he has managed to keep the company in his hands because kids love him and his character has always gotten a reaction. He’s a great dude and everyone respects him. • @OddysChannel

    That's what competition basically is... Competition's idea is to try overcome the opposing side. That's why both sides have to put their 100% to the business which is what basically happened during WWF era while WCW was still up. The reason why WWE suck now is because they don't have any real competition which means they are not giving their 100% and that can be seen from the quality of story lines and characters. Monopoly is a bad thing.

    @Munky Bidness No it's not. Everyone involved with AEW says they are an alternative to the WWE, not competition. Which is smart, because TNA/Impact Wrestling was supposed to be the WWE killer, and look at them now. Trying to compete with the WWE is insane honestly. They are ingrained into the very fabric of professional wrestling.

    @Duckworth Ocean Not really. It's not about changing anything, but just adding to it. Cena was on the bubble from 2002-2004 in WWE. The thing keeping him in was his reaction to the crowd, which is his point here. Obviously once he was established, he could do whatever. But at one point, he was at the same point as everyone else. Granted, times are different, and in ring competition is more fierce, but their promo skills are certainly lacking. (In comparison to the attitude era and ruthless aggression era)

    I always feel for Cena's WWE legacy in that he some amazing feuds but the Fed never gave them the Wrestlemania Main Event spot. Cena v Edge was career defining for both of them, they both elevated each other by working together, they both became better by working together, it was the perfect mix of their characters at the time and their matches just got better and better. They should have main evened a mania together. Same with Cena v Punk. A feud that made Punk a main event player and again, 2 characters that played off each other perfectly. Completely deserved a Mania Main Event Spot.

  • @ApostolosKatsioulas

    @ApostolosKatsioulas

    4 жыл бұрын

    well Cena had the sort of Main Event match at WM28 and WM29 with the Rock, even though the streak matches were the real main event. For Punk it hurt even more than Cena to be honest, Punk honestly carried the company and worked with so many superstars and they kept on feeding him to superstars that came and go. Punk said it correctly HHH should have put him over back in 2011. Then they fed him to Rock,Undertaker,Lesnar. But yes whether you like Cena or not you got to give him respect, he's always been a hard working person and always gave his best in WWE.

  • @matwilliams8012

    @matwilliams8012

    4 жыл бұрын

    Apostolos Katsioulas I disagree slightly, Punk was (without doubt) at his hottest during the pipe bomb phase but it helped that he had Cena to play off against. Think about Austin for a second. As huge as he was, what truly put him over the top was he had the perfect antagonist in Vince and like with all the best faces of a company, they truly excel when you have the perfect heel to play off of. It’s why Shawn and Bret, Bret and Austin, Rock and Triple H, Austin and Vince, Edge and Cena and Cena and Punk were so good together, total opposites that just created magic when they were in the ring. The point I disagree with though is when you say Punk carried the company because for the year he was champion he complained (A LOT) about the schedule and what was expected of him. Cena was the company figure head for close to 10 years and during that time he made every appearance asked of him, performed in front of some of the most hostile crowds you can think of and the only time he missed a show was when he was injured and even THEN he still showed up. While I’ll agree Punk was white hot during the Pipe Bomb phase and Triple H was a total dick for not putting him over, from Mania 21 to Mania 31 and even beyond, Cena was the man at the front of the companies fortunes and he did an amazing job of keeping things going. It is just a shame that Cena and Punk (or Cena and Edge) never main evented a Mania because both were rivalries with a ton of history, legit credibility with great performers who made you believe they hated each other.

    @Mox Marinum its all about the old putting over the new. John Cena would have been a bad idea. They would have booed him for 'retiring' Kurt. It had to be a heel. Who's the best heel in WWE right now who could use a push? Bork doesn't need it. No one else could have benefited from it other than Corbin. It's smart booking.

  • @Markleadguitar

    @Markleadguitar

    4 жыл бұрын

    @Mox Marinum Corbin was the only logical choice. He's gonna go on and have a career, John Cena has less than 5 years - maybe less if he's going to transition into movies. Putting him over does nothing for him, and makes Angle irrelevant. Regardless of their history, WWE has to book for the future stuff. Corbin is currently one of the best heels in the business, and draws nuclear heat. You can put him into any program with any babyface and make money. Having Angle lose to Cena doesn't put anybody over. The whole concept of a retirement match is to put an up-and-coming star over. It would be wasted on Cena, Reigns, Rollins, etc. Angle is a babyface. You can't have a face retire a face, the fans will organically turn. So you turn to a monster heel. Corbin, McIntyre, Ziggler, etc. Come on man.

    Now that he was at mania 36, i can say that in some capacity, cena was at 18 consecutive wrestlemanias, and as he said in the interview, he intends to keep that up for every mania going forward. Respect.

    I’m a Cal State Fullerton journalism major student and sometimes I worry about the future too much. And I guess it’s another reason why I stress along worrying about other things. I think too much ahead rather than just focusing on the now which could make this semester less stressful. Thank God for Cena for life advice.

    Seriously I don’t understand the thumbs down for any of this guys videos. You guys are either trolls or you just ate one of those miserable people who like to give thumbs down in every video. This guy is clearly the most respectful, professional interviewer and both comfortable for him and the people he interviews I’ve ever watched. Keep up the awesome work Mr Van Vliet. 👍
