I stumbled across this series by accident. Amazing channel. I was aware of Reformed Theology through listening to James White, Pastor John McClarity, reading Luther's works (man that was a mission) and Denton Bible College. These lectures are good as they boil things down a little bit better. I know where to get the meat but I needed something easier to grasp at the development through time of Reformed scholars and the international impact they had on the world. Thank you, Dr. Reeves for the work you have done. Took the hay down out of the loft and brought it down so we calves could get at it!

Re: Jerome de Bolsec's Biography of Calvin. I find it interesting that this Biography of Calvin is cited, which states Jean Chauvin's cause of death to be an insect infestation in an anatomical area which suggests sexual depravity. In fact, many Calvinists refuse to give any credence whatsoever to said book, though I personally am sympathetic towards it. Why do you think said work has the Ring of Truth?

This biography is not cited it's referred to. There is a difference. Also I never said it has a Ring of Truth (caps?) so your comments are assuming a great deal.

I misheard your tape. You cite Theodor Beza which I misheard as Bolsec. In view of Beza's translation of Revelation 22:19 in the 1599 version of the Geneva Study Bible, Beza has no credibility with me. Because of other problems with the Geneva Bible and because of the King James Bible which superseded it, the Geneva Bible was not reprinted for another 400 years. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
