One of the best again? You do know that John is the greatest of all time right? Every professional arm wrestler (Denis C, Devon L, Levan, Toddzilla, Dave Chaffee, Matt Mask, Vitaly, Michael Todd, E. Prudnik, Ron Bath, etc etc) will tell you John is the 🐐 because no one has dominated the sport of professional arm wrestling for as long as John. No one has even come close. The man even had one of the biggest Hollywood actors portray him in a movie FFS 😂.

It's just smack talk, Travis definitely respects John, they've pulled each other several times over the years and Travis was around when John was still the man - I saw an old match between John and Todd Hutchins that Travis was commentating, and it's very clear that he has a huge respect for John. Even though Todd lost to John, just by how much he made John work you could tell Travis was very impressed and respectful towards Todd's skill at that time as well. This is all smack, it's just Travis. From what I hear he's actually a pretty fun/affable fellow in a casual setting

@@rileyneufeld7001 exactly, it's part of the psychology of the sport. I think most casual people don't think about how much of armwrestling relies on the power of your mind. So the smack talk is partly for entertainment, and mostly for psyching out the opponent. Good shit haha

@Craig Laycox yeah, you're right, but Travis has pinned John a number of times too, even when John was competitive. I still think on the whole all factors equal that John is the better armwrestler. Hell even if they were the same age and Travis were still bigger I'd still give the edge to John assuming they're both trained, rested and ready

I went to nationals in 1999 in Reno,Got third place. Won state in right and Left( Montana) My Best friend was a Pro and we trained with a two time world champion ( Mike Peacock) I Got to meet John and hang out with him. He never said to much but was nice and he was eye balling me a lot. He was the man back then and hung out with only arm wrestlers. Very intimidating guy but was actually a very cool person to be around. Very cool part of my Life back then. Cool experience being a professional Arm wrestler.
