MountainMan HuntingFilms Absolutely spot on, he is a really nice guy, but also one of the strongest men you could ever meet. His arm wrestling skills are the stuff of legend! Jesus, the guy was in "over the top". In his fifties he is still better than 99% of the world! In my opinion, the best arm wrestling champion of all time, period.

He always understood how to position his mass so that superior strength and brute force couldn't beat him. Just look at the size difference in most of his opponents, who were larger and stronger, but didn't understand how to transfer their body weight. :)

+45ge rrr I'm sorry, but where in my comment did i say you can transfer your body weight to your arm? I'm talking about the positioning of the entire body, not just the arm. That's a strawman you're arguing with there, buddy, and i don't appreciate being corrected for something i never said. The best no matter the size of their forearms have always positioned their mass below the table in order to win or Brzenk would have never been able to beat someone like Cyplenkov.

That’s because he is genetically gifted & also a great thinker & tactician of the sport & has obviously never abused roids or his career would have been much shorter & he would not be challenging Devon at age 57 . If he had of used peds in the amounts some of his opponents have , apart from injury , I doubt he would have ever been beaten in a single match .

Absolutely , great overview of John & his abilities. I love the way he goes about it , no using the table as a lever with his feet , no pulling from under the table , no pulling from over the table where some opponents almost head butt him they are that far across , no cherry picking opponents , no making a big fuss & screaming out , clearly has not abused roids or hgh otherwise he wouldn’t be able to challenge Devon at age 57 . I think some people just don’t like him because he doesn’t have the “charisma” of Devon , but that’s what a lot of older fans love about him , NO BULLSHIT FACTOR. Your last line says it all , the greatest .

I grew up watching him. We were an AW family and catching him on Wide World of Sports or on cable was a great treat when we couldn’t drive to see him in person. Humble guy, always willing to help, took time to help me with my technique after I was wheelchair bound and was participating in disabled AW. Like the rest of us he just got old lol. I’m a huge Devon Laratt fan but I always appreciated John’s lack of shit talking and just letting his arm do the work.

@@maligonako12 u think? In his prime? I have to admit im a noob here, and can very well be wrong.. My answer was totally based on whats logic reason in my mind. But same time one year ago i knew nothing about armwrestling and The name larrat was just i recognozed from my feed nothing else.... But! And this is a huge but.. I have been in my teens a world class powerlifter and top 3 benchpresser. So, im not a stranger to strength. In fact, very confident that i know my shit about this. Its possible that i am no expert, but its not possible to convince me that im not. At least in big picture. By that said, strength is something that takes time. Yes You can exceed to extrem levels. And in that year span. You probably is going to do most strength gains and then after 25-30 its gonna be a slow process in General speak. At least for elite.. In optimal conditions peak is gonna be around 40-45 +- 3years ish.. So its very sad if You a Right about this.. Becuse brznk should be about twice as strong when he hit 40 years and same when it Comes to techniqe. Becuse experience, Right? Also The competion just seems way better year after year? In my opinion based on my piot knowledge 80s as also 90s armwrestling was just weak in a strength perspective.. Still is if You ask me.. And im sure pritty sure im Right.. Just look at larrat strength wise, his done no strength progress for how long?? Its pathetic and just a Wonder he reach that level of strenght that he is... Becuse his teachings dosnt really work. Want evidens? No one, and I mean no one trains like him. Every day practice just dont work. Try it your self, You Will only get weaker. Holistic movements max. Strenght traning is optimal Every pt Every other week, any elite powerlifter or strongman agrees on this.. Promise You... So how do i explaine larrats success?? Well knowledge wise, i sware and can vet my life in that he is a complete retard.. Its not that hos method have any points. Becuse it does. Overall its just weak.. Really weak and narrow.... To become a elite athlete, your traning philosophy should be broad. Ofc main focus should be where its most needed. There for full rom is just not very common and You often ser static holds.. But larrat focus like 95% strength training in critic positions... Same method over and over again. And this training style only takes You so far and its doomed to soon hit a platue and and cant exceed anymore. Most common between 5 months to 2-3 years Max. Then You hit your self made proficy, The platue! Which usually seperates elites from amatures.. Which makes larrat just a wierd freak of nature. Om convinced larrats genes is someyhing else. Ive seen this before but its so rare. I mean my genes are better then most. But larrat have genes that is close to not even human.. If he just had The Right training and not that hippie *i do my own stuff based on just crap style of training* The he always done. He would exceed brznk level.. By far!! How i know this? Becuse larrat trains like an armature, and really dosnt do strenght training. Yet he is one of the strongest guys out there.. Larrat method is more staminq then anything else. Thats also explains why he has The best stamina out there, by far!! Everyday training is someyhing marathon runners do.. NOT 100 meter explosive sprinters!! Never! So, strenght genes is just wow. Here You have this dude training aerobic and strong like a elite powerlifter. Imaginge if he trained like a powerlifter?? Its sick! Just sick!!!!
