    It’s called a coupler. When the organist pulls out specific stops or presses a certain switch, the sound of another manual (name for a keyboard on the organ) can also be played by another manual. In this case, the upper manual is coupled to the pedalboard, which means that whatever the organist plays with his feet, it will also play on the upper manual.

    It's not so much how anyone can master playing this, it's ...how in the hell did Bach ever write such music?!?

    Because Bach walked with God and God gave Bach this music for his devotion to God and music as a form of glorifying the Almighty and the Lord Jesus Christ His Son. This music is a gift from God and the proof is in Bachs manuscripts which he dedicated to God and the Lord Jesus Christ
