Joffrey Already Told Us The Shocking Truth About Rhaenyra's Ending | Game of Thrones Prequel | HBO
Ойын-сауық
Welcome back for another Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon video. In this video, I will be talking about how HBO's new Game of Thrones series, House of the Dragon, will end. During a scene in Game of Thrones Season 3, Joffrey revealed how House of the Dragon will end. Joffrey told Margaery about Rhaenyra Targaryen's death. At the end of the Dance of the Dragon's, Aegon II Targaryen will feed Rhaenyra Targaryen to his dragon, Sunfyre, while her child watches. This has to be one of the most gruesome deaths in all of A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones. I'm not sure if Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon fans are ready for this... Let me know what you think down below. Thanks for watching!

That's the nature of prequels, most of the time everyone already knows how everything ends. What matters is seeing how they get there.

I did like the fact HotD did hint it with the seer and then immediately followed with a dragon statue expelling fire. There has been quite a few foreshadowing lines in this series. What I would love for them to do next is Robert's Rebellion series--end it with Rhaella giving birth to Dany at Dragonstone during the "worst storm in living memory" have the baby open it eyes like Jon's revealing targaryen scene, cut to Dany's intro clip of her gazing out on the balcony and her name being called, boom roll credits. I'm pretty sure there are only two half way likeable characters on the show currently and she is not one of them
Because of this, I was forced to look for it! "When the Violande brought Rhaenyra Targaryen to Dragonstone on the twenty-second day of the tenth moon of 130 AC, she was taken captive by Ser Alfred Broome and the greens. Rhaenyra laughed when she saw the crippled Sunfyre. Aegon chose to feed his half sister to his dragon, and it is said that Sunfyre only reacted to Rhaenyra after her breast was pricked by Alfred's dagger, with the smell of her blood rousing the dragon. Sunfyre bathed her in a blast of flame before closing his jaws around her arm and shoulder. Sunfyre devoured Rhaenyra in six bites, leaving only her left leg below the shin. Prince Aegon the Younger was forced to watch his mother die, and Elinda Massey allegedly gouged out her eyes in horror.[3]"

One time HBO did the opposite though. In the Trueblood book series the character of Lafayette was murdered by a serial killer, so we all assumed that he would die, especially when the first season left off showing a body in the dumpster that looked like his. But he played that character so well that he was an instant fan favorite, and they decided not kill him off, which was a win-win as it helped make the story line less predictable for those who read the books. We can't assume that House of Dragons will follow the books exactly, because even the book that was written was from the perspective of people repeating a story, without ever seeing any of it firsthand themselves (kind of like the bible). That leaves the show creators a lot creative room to change the story in major ways without too much explaining. Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised. So far, so good. (oh, and I haven't read the books, I'm just going by what people have said about the GOT book series. I want to wait until after the shows to read them).

Dany was always going to die. They just rushed it, and screwed up the prophecy. Jon should've killed the Night King. Otherwise, it ended like it was always going to. The end game is hidden in plain sight in the books but so many overlook it

It's these moments I'm watching for lol
Amazing! Totally missed this when I watched GOT
Actually there is another narration of the Dance of Dragons that was narrated by Daenerys brother Viserys in an earlier season, I think. It was a VERY good watch.
I like how Joffrey after all his sadism didn't enjoy his own end 😤👿
I've been showing Thrones to my friends throughout the year and I was so pissed when I watched that scene with them xD. I wanted to be as blind to the ending as possible, considering I already knew the ending to GOT, since I only watched it for the first time last year, and then Joffrey just ruined my chance at that.
Nice video
Thanks!
One thing about Thrones, horrific deaths are inevitable
There is a way for them to make her death beautiful though. They would need for her to know shes going to her death, but for her to have already foreseen the future events that would take place because of her death, leading up to the demise of the night king, fulfilling the prophecy of the dagger. If in the end she had a choice of taking the throne or going to her death to save the realm 100+ years later, and she chose her death, now that would be a proper ending of her story arch, and we can keep the hotd series going by time jumping to one of her ancestors, dunk and egg? All the way up to the death of rhagar and the mad king, hope they do this right.

I wish they don't end this series with this scene in Dragon Stone but end it instead with Aegon III and the start of the Stark Regency, it will be a good parallel, the main GOT series started with the Starks and House of the Dragons ends with the Starks.

Right, the hour of the wolf is definitely gonna happen on screen. Her death isn't gonna be the end of hotd. Cannot wait for Cregan Stark's appearance, he doesn't waste time, he went straight to the point. Despite how the war changed Rhaenyra, House Stark still remembers that they bend the knee to her as her father's heir.
If Joffrey really did spoil the ending of the House of Dragon we could say despite his character flaws that he at least knew his history.
I remember his part in the Histories & Lore of the Dance of the Dragons where he proudly flaunts the act of Rhaenyra's son Joffrey.
Omg I actually caught this the other day (cause I’m watching GOT again too!) when I was rewatching this exact episode…

The show will have minimum 2 season, most likely 3 seasons in my opinion. And well, Aegon didnt hate her sister but after the war started, a series of brutal things will happened that they will end up truly HATING each other. So when Aegon captures her by the end of the war, he had so much resentment saved towards her that she killed her on the spot with her Dragon out of rage to finally end the war.

The smartest thing that ever came out of Joffrey's mouth was when he expressed concern about Daenarys to Tywin.

In order for that to have happened…Rhaenyra’s own dragon would have to have died before hand. She said her dragon was rather over protective of her, and as such, these dragons have almost psychic links to their riders. Yep, that is one of the things GRR Martin mentioned in one of his long interviews with potential writes. He stressed that the ' history' of westeros is told through people who probably weren't there and as with all history, had been edited by the winners. He said that he did not specifically write the history, he wrote characters who told the history. You kinda saw that at the very end where Brianna edited Jaime's entry.
Anyone else think Joffrey is part Targaryen? That’s probably why they had him tell that story in the show and why he thoroughly enjoyed it? It would make sense if the Mad King was his real grandfather.
