  I will say this. If someone is a really good writer, who is close in storytelling ability to George R.R. Martin, and he or she follows the notes he has very closely, I’m sure it will be a good ending, and I will enjoy reading it. I think the flying monkeys from Wizard of Oz could write a better ending than HBO did though, so either way, it’s going to be better than what we currently have.

  Those two ass clowns were wealthy before Game of Thrones, coming from extremely affluent families. I would put forth that a major factor they even received the opportunity to make the show was due to family connections and wealth. In my opinion talent was not a major point that enabled them to produce the show, hence the consistently poor writing as the show went on. Also the fact the GRRM was taken out of the writing loop after season 4 along with the deviation from his outlines clearly point to the lack of talent. I acknowledge the dollar is what is "real" and what makes things happen, although there are many wealthy talented writers/producers that I'm sure would've pounced at the chance to work with GRRM's source material.

  Dude, I like everybody was SOOOOO PISSED OFF !!’ 8 YEARS OF MY ( miserable) LIFE were dedicated to this show giving me “ a respite from my woes!” Then after all the “ sorry, I can’t go on a date tonight, Thrones is on!!” All the Funko toys I got for Christmas , the seasons , the constant “ Oh my god, this show is SO amazing!!” The character of the Hound, Jamie, John Tyrian and Theon’s redemption, Sam ( all my favorites,) this show ends like every other bullshit series?!! Those two writers and HBO deserve to be drug through the streets of L.A. , stripped neked and walked amongst the people with EVERYONE shouting “ SHAME! Dangling …. SHAME! Dingaling! SHAME!!!!! Not cool! Not right! I would -honestly- give my left one if they would redo season 7 and 8 again! The death of the Hound, seriously, and Jamie needs to be FAR better as well as the Spider 🕷️ Dude, the ending -literally- broke my heart !!!💔 🤬

  Brandon Sanderson is not the person to finish them if necessary. I believe he has admitted he hasn't read them and that they are not for him. His style is also just very different.

  If George lives long enough for them to film 3 seasons of Dunk & Egg, this makes it sound like he will have to publish Winter within 3 years, then he’ll start on more Dunk & Egg. If that does happen, which I do doubt, then Spring will never be written! Or even started. He’ll be sucked into providing the rest of Dunk & Egg, or it will go the ways of GoT, poorly written and not what fans want. George doesn’t know what he is doing. And he’s overly optimistic about progressing these stories. Sucks to be a fan.

  Jon snow shouldn't have been arrested or facing any charges! It was actually right by conquest! Being a targaryen or not it would have made him the rightful king! Even though technically he already was!

  All great for the movie series, BUT... It would be great if G. Martin could finish the last book in the Game of Thrones. The books have more depth and character than the abbreviated series, though the visuals are really good. Then maybe he could write the full story, Prequel and Post to connect them all.

  Someone help me lol I am a LOTR fanatic yeah speak the languages elven cosplay of characters I have a a few replica true hand forged swords not cheap.. and I often wear evenstar myself lawd anyways I just started game of thrones series show don’t bite me yall . . Episode one and two season one didn’t sway me that much yet is this anyone else’s experience and then it becomes epic! Do I need to just stick around a while longer and I certainly need to read it!!!!

  Hey, GRRM, here's a thought: Finish the series that made you famous before you start yet another project! No wonder Winds isn't finished. He keeps allowing himself to get distracted by other things. Now, he doesn't owe it to the fans, but you'd think he'd want to finish it for his legacy. smh

  I don't understand why we keep getting updates on shows in the works, I want to hear ONLY about shows who have been given the green light. The drama surrounding Snow, and other cancelled projects is getting old.
