Highlights From A Much Longer Upcoming Show…
Hello friends! We are delighted to welcome our old pals Joey & Dave: The Brothers Landreth… and indeed also our pal Roman Clarke on drums!
With apologies for the hasty description and lack of initial information, we just wanted to put this out ahead of much longer and more detailed edit coming as soon as we can get it done. The guys arrived with us on Wednesday and we have an Experience Day today (Friday 2 Sept), so time has been against us.
BUT… Please enjoy this short edit as The Bros. hit the road in UK & Europe. There’s loads of tone talk, insight on their latest record and even some band performances.
Enjoy the show!

This is exactly why the Internet was invented, thank you TPS and Joey!
Joey is such an amazing sound designer as well as brilliant guitarist and songwriter.
You know you're in for some major tones when the first thing you see is Mick wiping a tear from his eye!
First heard of Bros Landreth on TPS. Since then I haven't missed a time they've passed through Chicago, even getting a chance to say hi and buy a t-shirt directly from Dave just before Covid. Just top notch, class acts. Always make me think of Craft Beer or whiskey, everything they do is intentional to the craft of their music. These guys are masters! I'll never forget what Joey said when I told him how I loved his music and, as a guitar player, respected everything. He told me, it's really all that I know how to do, the only thing he's really good at. Well said, I wish for everyone to find that skill in their lives and to not pass up some of the skills you may not be as good at because the appreciation of mastery requires understanding. Bravo!
Full length version please!!
Since the first time I saw him on this show Joey has become one of my favourite players. So glad to see him back on TPS
Joey is incredible. Dave is a huge influence to me as a bass player! Love his tone, the way he articulates notes, everything. Fantastic!

His contributions always seems right on the money.
I love how Joey first popped up and he was just like "these pedals are kinda neat" and now he's just become some kind of frickin sonic sorcerer
I've loved Joeys playing for a long time but after seeing him 2 weeks ago play live, blew my mind. What a player and what a band. His feel, touch, dynamics etc are on a different level.
So I discovered Joey years ago and he's become one of my favorite musicians. I listen to his solo work and the Bros Landreth stuff all the time. That said hearing the band in this live context (Recorded live). Holy hell... You get so used to bands sounding so very different on an album vs live, but if anything these guys sound better. There's so much feeling and movement. The drums have groove, the bass swings. Joey's guitar and vocals are on point. Nothing is too pronounced, nothing too in the back. It's just magic that you can't help but bob your head to.
Just an awesome show....what a great teaser for the "full edit" to come. Great band, great people! Fun to watch all of you guys nearding out over gear and tones. Thank you.
So so good. Just brilliant, looking forward to the longer video! The sounds, the playing, just everything. Wow
The ring modulation section is making my inner physicist very happy! Looking forward to seeing and more importantly hearing the Bros next week in the UK
What a treat! He’s such an amazing player and his tones are so cool. Thanks guys 🥳
Made my day. Can’t wait for the full length!!
The full length version of this show cannot come out quick enough!!
Love seeing you guys being genuinely blown away by someone with the ability of Joey. Can’t wait for the full video. Thanks for this 🤘
What a teaser! I can’t wait for the full episode. Hoping that the Bros. will make it to the US West coast some day!!
Great, great job capturing the sound. My gosh, otherworldly.
Oh man- great show this past week! Joey Landreth is like the ultimate TPS love child- born from a combination of his own incredible musical talent and Dan and Mick's crazy wet dry wet dry wet harmonious ring modulating fuzz pedal excess wizardry. And I love that you can chat about the crazy tones and see the board, but then we get to hear it in the context of his actual band- this is a TPS high-water mark! Thanks guys!!!
Just a great video! Restores my waning faith that true talent still exists in the music industry. Thank you.
Joey’s a very thoughtful and innovative player. Sounds fantastic. Many thanks all.
Love this! I maybe rewacthed joey episodes a milion times, never too much, thxs
Three (nay FOUR) of my favorite people on KZread in the same room!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, one and all for this joyous production! O' the TONE!!! 🙏💖
That was so great! I am grateful and blown away by this episode. Joey and Dave and their drummer are world class musicians! The tones that Joey elicited from his guitar and monster pedalboard are iunbelievably cool..Most impressive thing: the songs!! True musicians.
Marvellous, what a band The Bros. Landreth are, the sounds and tones from Joey's pedal board are extraordinary, can't wait for the longer video 😄
I was going to wait for the full edit but I'm having a bad week so sod it This is incredible
What a great video. Best thing you've done in ages gents, probably helps Joey is an absolute gifted genius. Really well edited too. Can't wait to watch the "Taylor Cut" when it's finally released!
My god, what glorious sounds with my proper headphones on! Thanks guys, I can't wait for the remainder of this.
Yes!!! Looking forward to watching this episode😁😁
Going to see them tonight! Exited . And looking forwds to the long show! One of my favourite bands!!!
Let it Lie was amazing. Can't wait for the full version!
Awesome! Can't wait for the full cut!!
Saw the Bros here in NYC back in June for the third or fourth time and holy sugar…if you’re at all able…go and see them play live in person up close. What a spectacular evening of good old-fashioned rock and roll. Massive cheers from the Big Apple.

I’m there - one day when the Bros come to Austin! One can only dream
I have never heard a player who can harness a pedal in the same expressive way as Joey. His knowledge of the technology, music theory and then guitar technique combine so creatively and result in truly beautiful playing. Can't wait for the episode!
I was smiling wide the entirety of the this show. I love TPS and their chemistry with the Bros. I hope I can get my hands on their vinyl so I can crank my hifi and just listen.
Such brilliant musicians. Can’t wait to see them live soon 🥰
Album ordered :) What a treat, can't wait for the "extended version" , thanks lads !
Brilliant, and great to see Roman Clarke in the band again - the guy is an awesome singer songwriter in his own right.
Without doubt a creative force! With a board to nurture the expanse of the tonal palate
Fantastic show guys! I saw them at Shepherds Bush this week and they were simply astounding!
What a show! Tones and songs were amazing. Must have sounded so incredible in the room. That is a MAN"S Pedalboard!!!
This is stunning. Absolutely can’t wait for the full version, I am a massive fan (of all things Landreth and TPS) and had tickets and was supposed to be there on Thursday night at Shepherds Bush but couldnt make it last moment and was absolutely devastated. This is a good second place. But gawd I wish I was there….thanks Mick and Dan for showcasing this.
Thank you so much. This show introduced me to Joey and, by extension, The Brothers Landreth just over 3 years ago. I was blown away then as I continue to be today. Saw the band play at the Fleece back then and tonight they’re back in Bristol playing at the Thekla. There’s barely a week goes by without some of their music playing in our house or car. When the pandemic hit I signed up to be Patreon supporter too. Music this good needs to be supported and heard, especially live. Thanks again for the introduction. 🙏👏👏👏👏
What a treat. Just sounds glorious.
You can really hear Joey’s influences beyond guitar on this record and as a trio(!) wow, sounds like hes taking harmony concepts from Gershwin at points, its really quite incredible. Legitimately transcendent. Beautiful work Joey and thanks for capturing this Mick and Dan!
It's not a Friday without a TPS show, so thanks for getting a show out. Always a pleasure to hear him play, Joey has a master's touch and a seductive tone.
This was excellent! Thank you! I think it’s time to come to Dallas, friends.
There is nothing about this video that isn't pure awesomeness!!!!! I am at a loss for words. That board is incredible, those sounds are incredible, and Joey's voice is just amazing.
Adding the live concert footage adds so much to these, thank you D & M
See you all at Thekla tomorrow. We’re driving up from Cornwall so full of excitement to see the Brothers! Thanks for a wonderful show!
Love it all, thank you!
oh boy. I love the bros., I love Joey's wonderful tasty chordal playing, his slide of course. And I love the way you talk about these things with him. What a gorgeous show. Can't wait for the full version. Can't wait for the Bros' gig in Berlin. I'll be there. And don't you wanna do these shows with audience? I'd get a ticket immediately!
Fantastic! This is the first time I have ever thought the ring mod was a cool effect. I've never seen someone use it like that. I look forward to watching the director's cut! 😎 Musically brilliant these brothers.
Seeing The Bros Landreth in Narbeth West Wales tomorrow and this is just the warm up I needed 🤘🏼
10 seconds in - already love it! See you in Köln
Wow, some awesome creative tones in there!
Back in from their Birmingham gig and had to grab just a little bit more. Fabulous to see you guys all together again (got to see you with Joey at fat Lil's forever ago). Truly awesome times. It's worth noting that Dave really brings a lot to the sound in a live mix. Loud guitars are great, but the thumping bass and drums in the right place, is heaven. He's also a charismatic guy live!
First of all: Daniel's looks amazing! Joey's guitar tones sounds incredible and is one of the best of the world. what a great episode! I love you guys! God Bless you all !
Perhaps the GOAT TPS guest in my opinion. All the feel and chops you could ever want and a true sonic explorer. Goddam full package! Had the pleasure of being the house tech for a BL gig in Brighton UK some years ago, hadn't heard of em, was quite an eye opener!
Wow. What an awesome talent. Heard Corduroy and booked a couple tix for Vancouver! Can't wait!
Awesome, Thank you
Fantastic, I saw Joey three years ago and was just knocked out. I can't wait for the full length video. In the meantime I'll get the new album.
Super show! Ok so you have me putting down some schematics for an all tube reverb :) Great sound guys! Thanks the emotion on Dan & Mick's face was great!
Awesome, awesome, awesome show. Dan, just want to say that Joey blew minds all the way to the Middle East with that playing (and that board…) Almost feels like he transcended into a higher plane of music. I love the bros so much! Was great to have Dave on as well. Can’t wait for the editor’s cut! Thanks all for giving us this first taste!
Far out man the Slide playing is on point, glorious!!!
If there was ever a video to use headphones with, it’s this. Magical.
We appreciate you Editing Pixie(s)! I'm looking forward to watching it all again and more when you've had time to work your magic!
JOEY! Can't wait for the director's cut...I could literally watch/listen to the dude all day!
What a lovely surprise for a Friday night. Looking forward to the Director's cut.
Joey, my friend. You are the most important thing to happen to the electric guitar, creatively, in a very long time. Plus, you and the fellas make the most beautiful music imaginable. So that’s cool.

You’re too kind, Matt! ❤❤❤
That's one heck of a teaser. Thanks guys.
Damn, I can’t wait for the full length. Bros Landreth are the truth
OMG. Saving this for later. Joey + TPS = the best. See you in a few hours!!! [SO EXCITED GIF]
This is so fascinating! I have a lot of ‘crazy’ pedals, but Joey uses them in such a unique and original way, totally in keeping with his own personal style. Very, very cool!
I saw them live for the first time this past June in a cabaret-style room. One of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had.
Lovely music and a nice-to-see demonstrations of the Harmonious Monk pedal, which, in my very limited experience, asks more questions than it answers.
It's all about the Song but also about those awesome sounds💜🎸🤘
What a treat guys! Cant wait to see them in amsterdam!
Love this guy. Thanks TPS, now gimme the long video! ;-)
can't wait for the full vid!!!!
Thanx for Joey... always an inspiration (!)
Instant tonal goodness! Thank you friends 🙂
25:00. “I won’t go through cause nobody cares” to the collective support group of all the people who care haha
Never heard of the bros before this. Bought tickets to the Copenhagen gig the same day this came out. I'm now on the bus from Gothenburg to CPH (4 hours) for tonights gig. Stoked!
I love TPS, but man I have a soft spot for any Joey Landreth episode. Cant wait for the full length version!
Wow!! Incredible !!
Best video of 2022 so far.
Joey ans Dave's amazing playing and tone aside... I am fascinated by his Sorokin guitars. I'll probably never get to hold one but they look and sound amazing!
Damn, all I've seen is the first 60 seconds and I'm speechless. That Intro is "David Lindley Good" and thats my highest rating. Boy Howdy this is a great Friday. Thanks mates.
Roman Clarke on Drums. An amazing solo artist in his own right!
TONES! The Bros are a must see show. Do yourself a favour, great live energy and music, oh, and some of the greatest dudes on the planet.
I first heard of Joey Landreth on TPS. He is now one of my favorite musicians. Hearing him explain how he uses a ring modulator was just mind-blowing stuff, not to mention all of the other cool technical things about his rig and how he uses them musically. Really enjoyed this episode.
Consider the appetite wetted! Can 't wait for the full deep dive vid. Joey's a genius/mad sonic explorer!
So, so , so good! The Bros should release the performances as stand alone vids on their channel. Sound quality is amazing!
Yes, that strategy is way beyond of "only" getting a good tone. It´s more like soundscaping or soundsculpturing... Awesome!
I hope you'll explain this Wet/Dry/Wet in detail. Lovely episode, Joey is amazing, thank you!
Holy cow, that wet-dry-wet setup makes some unbelievably beautiful sounds.
I don’t play slide, and I’m not a big fan of slide guitar, but whenever you have Joey on I pay close attention, because I discovered my favorite pedal thanks to him, and you guys. When he played a Kingtone Duellist on a previous show my ears perked up, and I thought, “I’ve got to have that pedal!” It has since become my favorite pedal, and it will never leave my board. I like it even more than my King of Tone, which I got back when the waitlist was only 2 years, also thanks to you guys. “I just love this shit!” Me too, Joey, me too.
