Very smart guy, he speaks very well. Kudos to you Barts. More brain cells than all the TOWIE crew combined. Barton has a proper job, earns his money and has dealt with his family issues very well.

I couldn't agree more than what he has said there, seems very clued up, shame he isnt the same on the pitch but still a cool guy like he is on the pitch.

What an amazingly confident interview. Unscripted and yet lacking in pauses. I've NEVER been a fan of Joey Barton, but I feel a personal climbdown coming on.

Joey barton sent me here If suarez was racist he should be punished if terry was racist he should be punished But the FA are being rediculous charging suarez for abusive behaviour, this happens all the time in football. They touch on the racist subject by saying "alleged claims of racism" but this is in addition to his abusive language or actions...the FA are pathetic. Stamp out racism, but dont punish people for abusive language or behaviour, football is physical and gets heated #thewayitis

@chanyiwei yeah, that's exactly the point.. barton's calmer now.. watch him. he's the strongest in qpr.. he leads well.. gives great passes/crosses/chances.. and doesnt get into confrontations anymore.. except for the match against wolves.. cause karl henry was being a sucker for tackling him like that.. but overall.. Barton is a great football player, can't take that away from him.. his cross to helguson for the 3rd goal against stoke city was wicked sick... :-)

Some of his behaviour is thuggish but his actions when he loses his rag aren't the total representation of him. See the Amal Fashanu documentary, part 4 3.40, he does something decent, see Frimpong and Bizzle interview, they talk of him being kind-hearted. I think there are murderers that can reform themselves, why not a thuggish footballer?
