Joel McHale 2.0 (Crime Scene Kitchen, Community) on TYSO -
Комедия
Joel McHale comes back for his 2.0 episode. The Comedian, TV host and Actor immediately spills the milk ON A MARSHALL'S RUG!! Rick, despite his OCD lets Joel stay and even sit inside (everyone's vaccinated..blah blah blah)
The two discuss Rick reintroducing himself to Joel at the Farmers Market, despite working on the film ‘A Futile & Stupid Gesture’ for weeks together. Joel takes it as a personal attack on his memory and Rick explains his seemingly odd intentions.
Joel discusses the skill set of a “Host” and how he got involved in the new baking show Crime Scene Kitchen, Rick enquires about how Joel gets cast as a host so often and they discuss Chevy Chase again.
We also get another little tease from the unreleased short film Rick made about his basketball team story that Joel featured in!
We also announce on this episode THE TYSO LIVE SHOW! Can you believe we’re risking It all with Adam Ray!

all of these videos should be getting at least 150k-200k views each, at least. And they will one day, but with the quality of guests, the quality of the interviews, the Editing (capital e because it’s great), and the unique feeling of the entire thing - like nothing else feels the way these podcasts feel, it’s in a realm of it’s own. It should be growing faster that’s all I’m saying

I love that Joel didn’t want to share too much about his son without his permission. I’m on the spectrum and it’s unfortunate how many parents share crazy stuff. I really loved Joel and Rick’s chemistry

He also makes it so hard to like him. He's a walking mid life crisis. Wtf is with the hair dude? You gonna hang with Adam Levine later? I've always love Joel's comedy tho. He's swift and sardonic. He just can't seem to shake that chip on his shoulder.

Love the understanding of deliberately breaking the 180 degree rule (even if it was just done by flipping it in post) to make the small talk more unsuccessful.
I was recently re-listening to the first ep with Joel and I love that one so much that I'm so excited for 2.0!
God damnit Rickela, I can't begin to explain the genuine laughter and emotional roller coaster I go through watching week to week. Pure hilarity and honesty. Fucking-fantastic
Well, if it isn't Frivolous Promises Rick Glassman.
His emotional reactions are so relatable love ya Rick!
I’m sure this has been said, But Rick is an Andy Kaufman of podcasts.
Rick.. Rick? Rick - why isn't the Bobby episode on Spotify?
Rick, I know you probably won’t read this, I love when you check the cameras haha but I have a solution. Just put a mirror up where you have an eye line with the red lights and you’ll never have to jump up again!! Haha just a thought....love you and your pod by the way. You’re my favorite!!

You’ll need a few mirrors, but I think it’ll take some of your anxiety about the lights going off away. :)

Can you explain what the red line thing means? I really don't know what happens there and why it is worrisome to Rick.
@Movingmts111
2 жыл бұрын
@@maja1157 it’s highlighting Rick suddenly realizing//in his brain thinking “Are the cameras on?!?!!!” He talks about this in other episodes but basically he’s had a lot of issues where sometimes the cameras will randomly shut off or something will go wrong so you typically see this panic reaction/red exclamation point right before his guests are about to answer something interesting etc because he wants to make sure it is captured
Love Joel’s dry witty ass sense of humor. Great interview RG.
Rick you are something special, I’ve watched a whole bunch of your podcasts recently and you seem like such a genuine human being keep being you man!

The "Name. Name? Name." bit kills me every time.
Rick was in the pocket right from the start with this one. Some of the recent pods seem like you were getting in your way too much with the apologising and thinking you were talking too much. I don't speak for everyone but I watch this podcast to hear what Rick has to say just as much, if not more than the guest.
How the hell is this podcast not bigger
Ricky Boy! How's it hanging, love the content. You're the only podcast I watch religiously. Thanks for giving us this great content.
At this point I feel comfortable with Rick and understand him more and more and feels like a friend 😂
I watched Rick on Undateable then as Harold Ramis but I didn't really know who he was. Then I enjoyed him on Bad Friends & Bertcast but I was already watching so many podcasts that I still hadn't given TYSO a shot. Then he was on Trash Tuesday and that finally pushed me to replace some other podcasts with TYSO and I've been watching 4-5 episodes some days. At least 15 a week. I'm starting to dread having to wait each week for a new episode I haven't seen yet. Rick, man, you're just so funny and creative. I genuinely appreciate you/your content and look forward to seeing your career go wherever you want it to! /end weirdly long KZread comment

Great episode. Can't believe he turns 50 this year. I grew up (teenager) watching him on the soup.
Joel is outstanding! Rick, love every podcast amazing work!
My new favorite podcast. Actually passed the rug store the other day on the way to Microcenter.
Fight or flight? Boy are my arms tired.
I love it. Joel is great. Each episode is Rick trying to figure out how human interaction works.
Great duo!! Letsssss go
I get overly emotional about some of my friends' snarky jokes so easily and Joel's sense of humor works well as a desensitization therapy to me.
LMAO, just fast forward this here... ahahahahaha!!! Brilliant
These things have such great rewatch -ability 👌 😌

Well done!
Regrading why certain entertainers get a lot of work it comes down to money. Whatever the project whether be a tv show, movie, game show, reality tv host, talk show, it has to make money. The best way to make sure the project makes money, you want to replicate past success. This is why type casting, reboots, spin-offs, etc happen. They know what element of the project made that project profitable so they want to repeat it. Joel McHale was gambled on and/or a talent finder saw some profitability in him and gave him a chance early on. Studios and producers saw he was profitable so they continue to use him. Simple.
Joel has big brother energy
