Hmm, Shirley's take on career choices reminds me of the two fates of Achilles- either to gain glory and die young, or to live a long but uneventful life. While being in a successful rock band can hardly be said to be uneventful, I'm glad that Shirley and the band chose to have a long career, even if it meant not being super famous anymore. Big thanks to than manager!

Her song made the movie Romeo and jueliet. And Leo was the main character....if it wasn't for 1 crush, we would not have hyped that movie up.

Good call. Garbage is still a known entity even among the younger crowd. The Cranberries? Not so much. They rode in on the Alt wave but also benefited from the late 80s to mid 90s interest in all things Irish. I'm not slagging them off, mind you, I'm still a fan of their music. From what I've seen, Dolores O'Riordan is funny, intelligent and introspective. I'm sure she'd be a fascinating interview for Joe.

Because making albums is tough. You put your heart into writing the songs. Your band puts all the effort in the world to play it and there are never assurances it will pay off.

Victim thing? Why do people like you - John Doe, a really original pseudonym suggesting zero imagination - make such stupid - no, make that dumb - comments? People struggle to survive on any number of levels, and with Ms. Manson you can be assured that she's referring to the creative aspect, not the financial one. If you read the title of the video, it tells you her name. There's even a further piece of information in the description that tell you she was in the band 'Garbage'. I hope this helps.
