Absolutely INCREDIBLE. How the hell you have less than 19k subs is beyond me. You’re a true craftsman and an inspiration. Keep making more videos

I came here after Blacktail mentioned you. I look forward to see your stuff.

Blacktail props - I enjoyed this video and admire your ability to see so far ahead in the project. It came together so nicely in the end and making a tractor beam part of the design is just genius... Very nice and well executed all the way to the end!

I totally get what your saying about the marking of the CA glue. If you CA glue the item, then put it upside down while glue cures. Would that not detour the marking?
you should post another video of him opening it

Nice content Matt! I just subscribed and already have a question.😁When do you use vacuum system instead of a pressure pot?
@MattsWoodworks
2 жыл бұрын
I believe a pressure pot is for stabilizing wood, honestly do not know 100% though
@3plecrown
2 жыл бұрын
@@MattsWoodworks A vacuum chamber is what I use to stabilize wood. Everyone I have seen use resin uses a pressure pot. It seems a vacuum chamber would be to slow and wouldn’t remove the air fast enough. Like you I’m not 100% sure.

Very cool.if you could have used a pen light to shine down on the can like beaming it up would have been wicked cool. Either way awesome I never seen it on his podcast but I don’t watch it all the time either
Hey Matt, what is that expandable foam stuff you used to custom form for shipping? That is super smart! Awesome build, great craftsmanship! Keep killing it!

@@MattsWoodworks You mind If I ask you one more question, I didn't see you list it in your description materials list, but what thickness acrylic are you using? do you use a mold release on it before the epoxy pour? and what was the special acrylic bond glue? Thanks again. curious to try one of these for a friend.
What about using a pressure pot vs a vacuum chamber/degasser?
@MattsWoodworks
2 жыл бұрын
Honestly I’m not sure, the only reason I’d suggest chamber is that once it’s sucked down you can throw it into the fridge. If it’s not a large volume pour then I’d say yea for sure use the pressure pot because you leave it in there until cured right?
@JS-wc4xs
2 жыл бұрын
@@MattsWoodworks yup. Pressure pot is designed just for that (leaving it in till it cures).
