I have to agree with you guys. That was such a strange thing to say. Miesha got lucky. If Holly and Miesha were to fight 10 times, Holly would definitely win most of those fights. I don't see Holly getting careless with Miesha twice in a row.

Yea, comparing the Tate Holm fight is a poor example. Tate was good but got lucky in that fight, otherwise Holm would have won it handily. This fight with Cyborg greatly depend on how much Holm worked on take down defense and working the clinch. Of course Cyborg is stronger but that isn't the difference maker. Most great fighters experience their big loss. Mayweather was just a rare exception regardless of whether or not he hand picked some opponents, 50-0 stats don't lie. Cyborg will be tested and we'll see how well she handles Holm. If Cyborg wins then she'll have a much harder time finding another opponent but if Holm wins then Cyborg will be painted beatable like Rousey was and more people would be willing to fight Cyborg. The best result would be a Holm win because that would also set up a rematch most likely and would embolden more women to be willing to fight Cyborg. One major difference here though, Rousey, Tate, neither were good strikers. Cyborg is a good striker, so is Holm. If Holm stays busy, moves a lot, she'll have a good chance but she'll have to keep the distance when she can since her strength is her kicks. Here's another thing to think about. What if Holm knocks down Cyborg, does she jump in for the finish or let it stand up again? I forgot what fight it was but there was a fight for one fighter knocked down the other then went in for the finish and the one that got knocked down ended up getting a submission win because he was not hurt as much as it appeared. When a sub par grappler knocks down a superior grappler, they gotta be sure they have a good chance at the finish.

holly gets the shit slammed out of her. shes great against tentative fighters that are mild to medium aggressive. Holly is only deadly for 2-3 strike combos before she insists on moving around to reset. Cyborg can swing and chase her around.

That's because she's smart enough to realize some very important things in MMA that you apparently don't. Those are: A) She is old. 36 going on 37. Those are retirement years for most MMA fighters, and she's already been fighting pro in boxing for nearly 20 years. She knows she can't hang by going balls out striking with a vengeance like she would have been able to do years ago. B) Because of her age, she has had to ditch training for BJJ because it's take her years to catch up with even the average BJJ practitioner especially on the MMA circuit, so she has no ground game at all. This obviously makes her cautious, as it would any fighter with a lick of common sense. C) Her entire fighting career has ben built on point fighting. You can't just pluck a chick out from boxing and throw her in MMA without a good ground game/wrestle game or knees and elbow game and expect her to be the baddest bitch on the block. She'll get taken down, slammed, smashed to bits, etc by MMA fighters who know what they're doing. It's also hard to get point fighting out of your system after you've been doing it for nearly 20 years. D) Basically, she's old and getting slow and has to fight more conservable.

Cyborg won with no doubt. I'm curious about the June fight Cris Cyborg vs Megan Anderson. She's good but she seems to be a little slow and that will not cut it. But she's pretty strong choking people standing and is a hard person to pull down. She isn't bad on the grand or grip obviously but that hard to take down and isn't hitting as much as she could. That hard to take down. Psychical. Cris Cyborg: 65kg, 172/3cm (5ft, 8), Age: 32, Brazillian martial artist, Reach: 68inch, leg reach inch Megan Anderson: 66kg, 182cm (6ft), Age: 27, Muay Thai, Reach: 77.5inch leg reach unknown. She's had more recent losses but is still a champ not on riods (though my issue with performance enhancing drugs is side-effects/what your body can handle I wouldn't watch fights if I was worried about 'fair'. On the other hand if you're in a sport that doesn't allow it don't get a no-contest on a fight you won over it.

Holly's footwork and counter punching are better than any woman in the history of MMA and she has to use that to win. But can she do that? Can she keep Cyborg off her? John Galt Valentina didn't do shit either. Look at the stats. Amanda outstruck her in every round but the last. There are two people in a fight. Valentina did less than Amanda, she was extremely tentative and spent the majority of her time waiting. She did the same thing in their first fight and didn't learn her lesson.

Ronda started losing it during her book tour, coincidentally the same timeframe as she was hooking up with Travis in the spring of 2015. That summer, she and her mother were having some serious problems which added to here stress. During the very beginning of her match with Bethe, she blocked a couple of punches with her face and just pushed through and overwhelmed Bethe. I'm thinking that the long forgotten comment that Ronda made that she didn't play any ball sports because she couldn't catch a ball probably was a good indication that Ronda had hand/eye coordination and/or depth perception issues, and had hardwired problems with striking. Edmond filing for bankruptcy added more to Ronda's overstressed condition, regardless of Ronda's claim that she thrived on stress. Everyone has their limit. Then, everyone was clamoring to see this world class striking ability that Edmond kept talking about, but no one had ever seen. Pressure to show it against Holly (who almost lost to Raquel in a standup only match the year before), just set her up. Rhonda set herself up with Edmond's encouragement for failure by trying to show she could strike with the best of them, which her mother knew all year long. People that can't throw balls should not be throwing punches. Deep down, Rhonda knew this, but pride and ego got in her way. If she stuck to her game, listened to her mother and not Edmond, she would have easily beat Holly who probably would not have ever made it into the top 5 bantam weights. Ronda was starting to crumble psychologically in the spring of 2015. The loss to Holly broke her. She may have been physically ready for Amanda, but psychologically she was, and is broken.

I think that’s a great win but I don’t think it places her forever above Holly!! Maybe if Meisha won all four rounds before that last round too, then you could possibly say that but it was more like Holly made a bad mistake after winning 4 rounds and then lost and if they fought again based off the first fight I think Hollys the favorite!!!!!!!!
