It's pretty bad when her cast members don't even approach Rosanne first before getting on social media to virtue signal. They helped cause the death of the show so I hope they never find work again. For some of them, it was the best gig they'd had in years or since the 1st show was ended.

Agree. I am especially dismayed by John Goodman and Laurie Metcalfe. I guess some ppl do not value loyalty. And no, they didn't find work. Roseanne signed away her creative rights to her OWN show so that they could HAVE work. (replying to k Dilli)

@@cheery-hex Thats the difference between guys like you and us: loyalty and work are close second after values and principles but still second. What's next? You'll just shut up about a murder for loyalty and to keep your job? Your thinking is beyond me. it's pure nonsense. When you write hate speeches like a duck, when you justify yourself like a duck, when you contradict yourself like a duck and vote like a duck, you are a duck. And by duck, I mean racist. I value apologies and I value explanations too. That's why I'm here by the way. To listen to what she had to say. But she contradicts herself so much. One time it's because she was drunk. Another time she invokes the fact that she has the right to think like a republican (so she wasn't so drunk after all), Another time again, she says that she makes offensive jokes all the time but it's alright because she doesn't mean it (she then plays the jewish card). So, which one is it? One reason is alright. 10 contradictory reasons is just a defense strategy. And we have to accept her saying she's not racist just because she says it? How many racist people say they are after all? We hear what she has to say and what she says only conforms the tweets. it is not about her vote. Obviously, she's not a good person. It is not political. Many good people vote for Trump. She tries to get away by victimizing herself because of her political views but it's not that. At all. The way she voted and the reason she says she voted that way are just elements, added ON TOP of her tweets and behavior, that explain the fiasco. Writing one borderline tweet which is objectively racist doesn't make you a racist but it adds to the probability. Having ten contradictory explanations about the tweets doesn't make you a racist but it adds to the probability. Voting for Trump doesn't make you a racist but it adds to the probability. This all together doesn't even make you a racist but it doesn't clear the elephant in the room. And a strong possibility of racism is good enough to get you out of a public show. Freedom of speech has its limits. When one threaten someone of death, you don't expect him to play the freedom of speech card. Same with hate speeches. Granted, it is not as serious but that's why she's not in jail, just banned from the screens. Because it's serious enough. Freedom of speech is a given but it doesn't mean there are no consequences because on the other side of the fence, the rest of the people around also have the freedom to react accordingly. It's a two way street. I'm loyal to people who are worth it. I will never ever be loyal to a racist person. That would mean I'm a complice to his/her shit. This is way too serious to let it slide. Once again, she might not be a racist after all but if she's not, she defends herself the worst way possible because she surely looks like she is. And a public figure admitting it would be a first so I don't trust the statement, I just trust the explanations...which are weak, to say the least.

Such a good interview. Roseanne was taken out because she couldn't be controlled. I remember hearing that she was doing a show & being shocked because she's been anti Hollywood anti establishment, so I was like why? Then this all happened & I just knew, they wanted to ruin her. Her show was getting to much attention and had such a great message. A message that powerful people don't want out because they would like to keep us divided. Pray for Roseanne that what has been stolen from her be replaced in abundance & that God open up new & better opportunities for her and that she hold onto hope.

My thoughts on all this is that people are afraid and, this is the crux of the issue, they are self righteous. This movement in our culture stems from people needing to be on the right team because they're scared freaking to death of being on the wrong team and being criticized. They need to be hailed as social justice warriors or friends of them. When those of us in the performing Arts become afraid of crossing a line, a reasonable line, then we're done. We're robots. I spent the night at a friend's house years ago. Woke up, got in the fridge, she had filled several Tupperware containers with shampoo and conditioner. She absolutely had no recollection of doing so. I will never touch an Ambien.

I love Roseanne even though I don't agree with her actions sometimes. I'm sad she's gone but I've been a loyal fan of the show since I was little so I'll be watching The Conners. More so for John Goodman though. If he left I wouldn't watch it.

Her tweets, what she says, even what she does in her personal life doesn't affect how much I loved the show. I have many years of great memories of watching with my siblings. The new season was just a great as it was in its heyday. I won't watch the Connors. All those fools owe her better than that. They would want to be forgiven for something did publically. They are cowards for not standing by her.

Everyone makes horrible mistakes sometimes. Understanding how someone feels when they have done something wrong and forgive is empathy. Looking for targets to lynch when they fuck up is just horrible primal behavior and imho being that nasty isn't very "PC".
