Listening to alan watts led to psychedelic experiences changing to something completely different. Meaning I listened to him amd a few days later took some and experinced something completely different, I have never been able to go back to the old feeling. I had to stop taking them. I thought i was becoming 'enlightened' but i am now just another crazy dude honestly. Tread carefully with the whole spiritual thing, things arent as they seem, most people who get close to that light end up as the people talking to themself on the street. But, when a person who’s very captivating and has a lot of good information to offer, just like Annie Jacobsen, I stop everything, and straight up listen. Forrest Galante, is also one of my favourite Joe Rogan podcasts(both of them). very good information. so captivating. Anyway, I loved the first Annie Jacobsen podcast with Joe Rogan Then when I saw this last one, I totally stopped everything just listen to it. I usually just listen to those cuts. But just like I said, when I saw Annie had another one.I’m now watching all of it. So much good information. People need this nowadays good information and pay attention to it. Learning from it. With the Internet, we have too many ignorant people spreading lies. So again, very good to see good information being spread. Thanks for everything

Alan Watts is a positive message, but the spiritual world is not all enlightenment and peace... I wish I never looked.

dude there are thousands of people way smarter than fucking joe rogan.....infact going by todays standards he's an idiot.
I always think it’s so gross when people say “like in my book” or “if you read my book” more than a few times. I understand and appreciate the reason you’re there is to promote your book, but there’s a certain point when it just feels really tacky in my opinion…

46:35 I’m not very good at paying attention to very long conversations. Very much like this very long podcast.
I listened to the book and breezed through it, and i still want to purchase the physical copy and re-read it.
When she goes in at 1:04 :03 her frustration with audio books coming out and how she changed her perspective, that’s super important. I always felt like an idiot for not being able to be ”well read” because my dyslexia makes it easier to do audio books. It wasn’t until I met my wife, that is a librarian, that I understood absorbing information doesn’t have to come from reading

Yes they are good. Really cool idea. Do u transfer yourself in your mind when u listening audio books? Transfer/imagining yourself being present in the story or moment you listening about? Specifically from novels, romance, detectives, periodic drama etc.

And what is that? To warn people that nuclear war is a real risk so that they call back their war mongering politicians from the brink of armageddon? I don't see the problem.

That’s another one of Joe’s handlers using his show (with or without his knowledge) to spew CIA propaganda.
There's not a person walking the earth that can tell you the first word of the first sentence of how the physical brain rises to conscientiousness so trying to define it is a very slippery slope.
I’ve never been simultaneously horrified and soothed. Who knew that a little ASMR was the spoonful of honey that we needed when digesting nuclear Armageddon.
I could listen to her read a dictionary, and I’d need a cigarette afterwards.

I don't think that our attention span is decreasing. What we see is a lessening of our ability to endure boredom. When we have fun, or when we are interested in something, we can focus for hours and hours. When we are bored, we immediately look for something more stimulating.

This is actually the most positive spin I've saw someone make about attention span. I do agree that though boredom is becoming less easy to be in, that sometimes doing absolutely nothing is necessary for spiritual revitalization
