    I'm an endomorph and what he's saying is true. Although I'm naturally fat, when I started working out I immediately gained muscle. Although the fat is very hard to loose but the good thing is the muscle is just as hard to loose. For me to look aesthetic I have to go on an aggressively low carolic diet which also consists of alot of protein. But if I eat like a normal person and still work out I'll prolly look like fat Thor but not as fat 😂

    No one (with maybe some weird genetic exceptions) is destined to be some obese blob based on muh genes so I agree on that. However, if you don't think genes play a role in how your body reacts to exercise and food then you need to look at genetics. West Africans vs even East Africans vs Nordic Whites all have predispositions for certain body types. Genes do play a role no doubt.

    Guy is almost spot on. You can be a mix of all the body types, your not just one. I’ve always told people in a perfect scenario you would be low on the ectomorph scale and high in the mesomorph/endomorph so you can pack on some good weight on your frame. Like he said everyone can get ripped, endomorphs might have to work a little harder and diet a bit longer but a ripped endomorph dominant body type will look similar to a ripped mesomorph dominant body type

    Ecto has its advantages. Ideal is literally just meso. Endo might get huge asf with good muscles, but they will lack in performance and might have great explosive power but not enough stamina/cardio. An ectomorph will struggle hard to gain but if they are committed over a long period of time, they will get bigger, will be forced to eat and train like madman just to maintain their body, won't lose much cardio since due to being an ecto they can control it if they want more strength or eat a bit less and immediately lose weight and have better cardio. Mesomorph is the only ideal one because it doesn't even have to work hard to gain or lose.

    The somatotypes are usually characterised by shoulders and hips, not weight. Mesomorph - wide shoulders, narrow hips. Ectomorph - Narrow hips and shoulders. Endomorph - narrow shoulders, wide hips.

  • @JamesJackson-he2fs
    @JamesJackson-he2fs Жыл бұрын

    To explain this in layman’s terms generally: 1.Ectomorphs are smaller boned, longer muscle insertions, higher metabolism individuals. Mesomorphs are medium sized bones, full muscles insertions, and middle of the road metabolism. Endomorphs are larger boned, shorter muscle insertions, with slower metabolism. In fitness this generally equates to: Endomorphs have a harder time building muscle, have to eat more, but because of the smaller joints, as they build muscle they will look great! Lots of flare to the muscles, very ascetic look because of the longer muscle insertions, but it will be difficult to maintain as they can lose muscle quickly. 2 Mesomorph like mentioned is the athletic physic, even as a kid you can see this body. Many children who start sports early (3-5yrs)develop this way. If active with little effort Mesomorphs will always have a muscular look. If sedentary, they usually look just like the average person. If trained they can get jacked, and have the ability to gain or lose weight by pretty much diet alone. Endomorphs, well every top power lifter in the world is an Endomorph. Larger boned, thicker waist, back hips and thighs, easier to gain weight, (fat and muscle) and generally overall bigger than most, weight and height. Note there is every variance under the sun when it comes to humans, but these three categories, do fit most humans. I know this video is older but it came across my feed so Joe seemed confused on the subject so here is some clarification. Cheers! and for Joe I am a biologist.

    @@urdad6882 Look I made plenty of gains, just that having an extremely fast metabolism, these gains weren't as fast as someone with a different body type. I trained with elite coaches and athletes and always had good nutrition. As an ectomorph, once your metabolism slows a bit, you see much better gains. That's all I was trying to say, I learned fantastic technique and people would make fun of my diet habits (I'd bring lunches and snacks every day while they would go to MacDonalds). It's just that different body types gain differently at different stages in their lives. There were gains, just that looking back the gains are coming much quicker now.

    Ectomorph, Endomorph, and Mesomorph are just theoretical ideas. Because of the innumerable amount of differences in human body types, it's actually not scientifically possible to group them into just 3 categories. So simply calling them that is disingenuous. There's a reason science and doctors do not recognize those "body types." That's something only the "fitness" industry has accepted as fact.

  • @bitehero

    The "fitness" industry also tossed that in the trash as well. People who use the body types still is a easy way to take every word they say with a grain of salt.

    I used to compete in true natural bodybuilding but I gained 20 some pounds and couldn't get rid of it for years.Then 2 months ago I did 10 two day fasts in a month. I lost 21 lbs and now Im ripped. Start with one day fasts to get used to it and move to 2 day or longer and youll thank me later. Best, fastest and cheapest way. And, it allows our body a chance to heal. Research it for yourself.

  • @bellmeisterful

    @@mikeyd1216 First of all, consider it a workout for your willpower. You will get hungry, but results is what drives us, and no other way gives you faster results. And Ive done it all. Actually the low/good carb eating made me hungrier than just fasting. When I started fasting, I failed twice trying to do 48 hour fasts, couldnt go past 24 hours. Then it gets easier, your body gets used to it as you do it more and more. Trust me, start doing fasts and in a short couple months youll be surprised how easily you can do 2 day fasts. I actually like the hunger feeling now. The body runs through all the glucose/sugar after 16 hours of eating, less if it was low carb. Then it starts dissolving fat with bile. It also heals itself, a process called Autophagy. Google it

He called the K.O by Jimmo (RIP) before the fight even started amongst many other little tidbits. Then was super nice when i asked him for a pic he even propped his arm up on my shoulder to make it a much better pic man telling you it was a fight geeks dream come true! What a great asset to MMA.
