I'm not a big fan of this guy but I do respect him. Every time he is in Catskill NY he comes by Hop O Nose to take pictures and even play ball with the kids. I worked at the nursing home where his relative passed away and when she died he donated all of the flowers from her funeral.

I had a 8 lb Siamese that was a stone killer, fought racoons, dogs, anything with legs, she was fearless and fast and accurate with her eye scratches, fucked up my 70 lb Dalmatian who took no shit from any human or dog, she attacked me once at 22 when one of her kittens got caught in the drapes and cried, she walked in the room and looked at me and snapped, jumped through the air at my face, belly first all claws facing forward and flying at me like a cartoon, and luckily I got my arm up to block her, she wrapped herself around my forearm and bit the joint at the outside of my wrist as hard as she could and gnarled down like she was eating a gazelle carcass on the Serengeti, I had to rip her off me with that shredding sound like paper being torn and my lower arm was fucked for about 3 days, couldn't even lift it to drive my car was that painful just from that joint bite and of course 20 nails digging about a 1/4" into my arm on eaxh side, And to give you context, I've broken my arm, wrist, hand, knuckles, been stabbed in the chest, etc etc, and I still remember that throbbing pain, you forget most pain once it's gone or healed but that cat attack, broken arm in 3 places and the stabby stab stab are still clear in my mind, all the other stuff I forgot about, but I remember the level of discomfort. Cats are no joke, I'd rather fight a 100 lb pit bull than a 40 lb cat any day, never mind 500 lbs.

A human has the ability to focus on more than one point at a time - where as to a Tiger/Lion more than one point of focus equals a situation of total confusion. If you hold up thumb and first three fingers towards your eyes (therefore using them to emulate the legs of a chair) you can look straight through them - whereas the same scenario to a lion or tiger would leave them looking from one 'chair leg' to the next.

Them people who have them tigers for profit should be HUNG. More tigers in captivity than in the wild. That's utterly crazy.

Three of us on SRRP in Vietnam had a run in with a tiger one night. It rummaging through our CRat cans that we foolishly discarded.It was twenty feet away from us.We could hear it breathing. It let out a loud growl and left. Why it didn't attack us,we didn't know other than we hadn't showered in a couple weeks and didn't smell too appetizing. If we shot it,that would give away our position and we'd be dead.
