He's so underrated because he played for so long that his face value stats for his career have dropped hard. From 2003-2014 he was phenomenal. Any room from the elbow and it was going in. Had ELITE composure both in the clutch and as a leader. Iso Joe is a the definition of a hooper.

Welcome to Boston! We need someone who can hit these shots
Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Michael Redd, Gilbert Arenas, Brandon Roy, Jermaine Oneal, Andrei Kirelenko Rasheed Wallace, Danny Granger, Elton Brand names sorta forgotten in the wayside for the 2000s Since they weren't flashy or paired with super all stars like king james, kobe, Carmelo etc. But they worked with what they had and poured their heart into the game and carried their teams on their back for the most part. I was 12 years old when i went to my first basketball game. From atlanta and Joe Johnson was legit the only jersey people would wear except maybe Josh Smith, but other than those two there wasn't anyone really doing much for the team (lol maybe zaza pachulia if you want to argue pulling the team down.)

@@leonldn1 not 16 ppg Joe Johnson lol. Get a grip man. He was ok. Nothing special. There are 200 players better at "iso ball" than him. Problem is NBA isn't supposed to be played 1on 1. The great players knew that and played team ball. It's his problem he never figured that out. Just cause he played that way the most doesn't make him the best at it. There's a reason he goes unnoticed and never won anything either.
@1:48 as a shooter you can tell the moment you throw your hands back to avoid that contact that shit be wet af.
