Totally underrated, made the all star team 7 times in a 17 year career, all rookie team, made an all nba team. ISO Joe!!

The NBA commentator who said, "he's a snake charmer" is goddamn spot on. When he starts to make his move, entire teams, mind, and not just his defenders are simply lulled into just standing there. Watch again, it's incredibly uncanny.

One of the most underrated / clutch players of all time . deserves wayy more credit!!

JJ was a very skilled and talented allstar just wasn't a superstar but he was one of my favorite players to watch

In a league of analytics and metrics, Joe simply finds the best way to score. I'd rather learn from his game than any 3-point shooter in the league today.

Markus Elliott Because in the modern era players who are midrange heavy aren’t seen as great or efficient. They’re also encouraged to take more three pointers or drive more. Two key examples I can think of are Rudy Gay and Demar. Yeah, they’re good players, but they’re no superstars and have been criticized for their inefficiency. To be a top 10 player today, you either have to have a dominant all around game (LeBron, Giannis, Embiid, Kawhi, Jokic) or be a three point sniper (Curry, KD, Dame, Harden).

M K you realize those last players arent even mainly 3 people. except steph i guess (steph being one of the best finishing in the paint) kd shooting more shots in the mid than anywhere else. and the other guys having a 3 enable their other skills such as driving and kicking, driving and finishing. i get what you mean though mid range is a pretty dead offense without a 3 every now and then

Joe Cool was indeed a special player. One of my favorites

What i love about Joe’s game the most is the fact that he deadeye splashes most of his shots, contested means nothing, step back three in your eye, can’t stop that, can only hope to contain it

He had no fear of any defender. He went left hand very strongly.

I loved iso joe when he was Brooklyn he had the team looking strong

Only real hoopers know how smooth n how tuff every shot he’s taking

His change of pace of his hesitation is crazy, he be rockin niggas to sleep wit the slow dribble and body contact, then that first step 🔥🔥

i remembered a moment where me and my friends are talking about our favorite nba players and i said "my favorite player is joe johnson" that was way way back, he is a hawk at that time and they be like "who's that?!" and some be like "why him? who is he tho?" i laughed at them and said "you are missing something amazing" definitely one of my favorite hero, Iso Joe Johnson.
