Having met Witherspoon personally i can assure you he is a gentleman and is one of the most respectful and polite guys i have ever met, after all of the business with Don King he is the most happiest and healthiest former Heavyweight boxer today. Joe Egan must have been very irritating for Tim to get into any confrontation with him.

My money is on Witherspoon. I met him and he is a really nice guy who didn't refuse a photo with anybody. He was very humble and he let some kid in front of me interview him, even when the kid was nervous from the queue building behind he calmly gave him the time and all his attention. I thought he was a class act.

Terrible Tim here. We weren't getting paid to be there and people were being charged $100 a person to get their photos taken with us. They had at least 100 people wanting photos with us. This is the problem with the industry. We get invited to events as the guests of honor, but promoters figure out how to make a fortune off these events and we don't get paid. I am way smarter now and have a business manager who is real keen on all this stuff. Joe and I are friends and I am sure Joe was getting a cut, but he wouldn't tell us

Joe Egan is a boxing icon. Remember his wars with Bowe, Holyfield and Tyson. I still remember him winning the Olympic gold knocking out Lennox Lewis in the finals in Tokyo. Just go to box rec and see the fantastic record this great fighter has. I'm surprised he's allowed these mortals to stand beside him. He could stop any of there men. Possibly all in one night. I have met Tim and he was a nice guy and made time for us all in the bar and had photos with us all. people need to remember he got heavily cheated out of his money during his career so I can see why he would get frustrated being asked to do photos without the event organiser paying him an appearance fee. a lot of promoters who put on these events want everybody to work for nothing while they cash in.

I always liked Tim. Just from interviews over the years. I had a subscription to Sports Illustrated when I was a kid and I remember reading an article about Tim way back it was probably just before the Holmes fight. From what I can remember Tim worked in a hospital at the time. He just struck me as a good guy!
