And it's true that the Fenty x Puma collaboration has generated more than a billion. Look at his College Dropout days with his incorporation of Louis Vuitton. You may not remember or you may be too young, but he was called the Louis Vuitton Don. So, fashion has always been integrated as it relates to Kanye. Edit: and even if his line is struggling, at least he was brave enough to try and put out a clothing line. Many celebs are just as fashion as he him, yet they have no clothing line of their own.

Ivy Park flopped because Beyoncé thought we would consume her fashion just like we consume her music. She does no promo, no events etc for Ivy Park. She has to interact with the consumers like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian. Every time a new product drops, Rihanna does a quick video on social media talking about it and using it. At Fenty events we see Rihanna applying make-up on her fans. If Beyoncé wants to have a big brand like Kim she needs to do more low level promo like social media videos, dressing her fans at events. Beyoncé thinks that a fashion campaign + sending boxes to celebrities will be enough.. nope. And the clothes were really ugly.

For me Beyoncé had 1 pair of house of Dereon shoes that I liked.She had 1 blue adidas jacket I love but it was hard to purchase sold out to fast.Rihanna could sell some fire clothes and if they ever came together can you image a Riri and b crossover.I never bought from either artist but I do have interest in both artist lines.

Great discussion. I think Beyonce's appeal is her natural beauty. Her facial features and body is what really makes her popular. Of course she's done some good songs and she seems to be a phenomenal live performer. But her beauty is what defines her. Not her fashion selection. That's probably the main reason why her clothing lines have failed. Beyonce has never really been known for trend setting fashion. Her clothing style, which I believe was heavily influenced by her mother, was very unique and not really appealing to average working folk. As for gym wear, I've never saw Beyonce rocking the gym wear look, so she was hardly advertising the brand herself. She may have gotten banka from the deal, but it will probably be her last clothing deal for a while

Those clothes were trash I know I work in a store that carried house of Deion. The young ladies would buy the clothing and return them a day later soon as they purchase it. It was absolutely trash. Beyoncé had her outdated mom designing the clothes and their cheaply made and absolutely trash. They finally stop selling her brand because it was a loss for this major department store.
