im a metalhead. This is not my usual type of music. But my dad used to love this song and we always listened to it together. He died on leucemia 2 years ago. I really miss him and sometimes i listen to this song to remember him. Thank you, Joe.

Brother you don’t mourn alone. My mom passed December 2019 and I continue to grieve. Perhaps listening to “The Blues” doesn’t help. Joe is an awesome talent. His music is therapy for me. Most time when I listen I cry, but I’m not sad. In fact I’m grateful for my life’s experiences and those that have influenced me. Joe B is good medicine.

Hey Leonfox. Lost both my parents as well. Not that it matters. I am glad you have found some other music in your your journey. I am a metal-head as well , but found the blues in the 90`s when grunge came around. It`s healthy to explore other genres. I truly hope that your loss is weakining when years pass by. A good old fashioned hug comes your way from Norway. Stay positive brother :)

My brother who has not one ounce of rhythm in his whole body just started moving when Joe played this. It was so amazing. It made his whole night. Rejoice in the fact that you found the incredible musical talent that is Joe Bonomassa. Go see him in concert. Take a friend with you, perhaps someone who has never heard of Joe. It’s a show you’ll never forget. Your late husband would want you to live your life and if he loved the blues, he would definitely approve of Joe Bonomassa!!! 🎸☮️

When it comes to music or the arts, there’s never just one “greatest “, it’s too subjective. It’s all about what we like, what speaks to us, what we can relate to. I’m a HUGE fan of JB. I love that I can listen to his music over and over and not tire of it. We had the pleasure of seeing him live a few years ago, took our son (25 years old at the time). He comment after was ‘He didn’t play anything I didn’t like’. That’s a great compliment.

Yeh...this is my current story...66 yr. old retiree...relocating to the Gold Country in Calif. It looks like "loneliness" is everywhere. I saw Joe last Nov. in Stockton, CA....he is my current "guitar hero"...I love him and I love how he plays. My guidelines are pretty high...he follows Johnny, Jimi, Stevie, Eric, Alvin, … I love Joe...and how he plays the blues. He is the "current blues master!"

I discovered Joe about 10 years ago. Watched his bio, wow! A child prodigy. Opened up for BB King when he was just 7years old. Seen him live twice in Florida. The man is a guitar GOD. Tickets were over $100 a pop, but well worth it. Bought both of his DVD's. What's your favorite?

Joe is a child prodigy in progress. But, driven by talent, passion, and support, he has risen to the top of the list. I see every great guitarist in his work. He has paid attention to the roots. He knows who to give credit to, and follows up with respect and appreciaton. I've seen him twice and was totally in shock and awe. All I knew of blues mainly was SRV. I'd love to see Joe do a few Hendrix/SRT interpretations. That would up the notch in his cover works. wow This man will never be forgotten amonst the very best. Long live JB.

It's (I suppose) to be a heartbreaking song but to me it is exquisitely sexy. The solo at the back end is mesmerizing. Vocals are soulful and moving. Just ......WOW. I just saw him in concert in Chattanooga..this was his encore song. It was great but I wish it had been played like this version!! Thanks for the show JB!! See you next time around ♥️
