Joseph Leonard Bonamassa (born May 8, 1977) is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He started his career at age twelve, when he opened for B.B. King. Since 2000, Bonamassa has released fifteen solo albums through his independent record label J&R Adventures, of which eleven have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Blues chart.

Joe Bonamassa's ability to connect with live concert audiences is transformational, and his new album, The Ballad Of John Henry, brings that energy to his recorded music more powerfully than ever before. The ninth solo album and seventh studio release of his career - as well as his fourth consecutive with producer KevinShirley (Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, etc.) - the disc adds a heavy dose of "swamp" to Bonamassa's virtuoso mix of '60s-era British blues-rock (à la Beck and Clapton) and roots-influenced Delta sounds. Remarkably, the 2009 release of The Ballad Of John Henry coincides with his twentieth year as a professional musician, an extraordinary timeline for a young artist just into his '30s. A child prodigy, Bonamassa was finessing Stevie Ray Vaughan licks when he was seven and by the time he was ten, After first hearing him play, BB King said, “This kid's potentialis unbelievable. He hasn't even begun to scratch the surface. He's one of a kind.” By age 12, Bonamassa was opening shows for the blues icon.

Good for you! I'll try to see him close to Germany where I am at right now. I love blues and Joe Bonomassa is awesome. Some songs go deep and make me cry. Been kind of sensitive for a while and been crying a lot but it kind of helps. Greetings from Germany.

Ça dépends de ce qu'on recherche, l'an dernier à Vienne, je me suis régalé de le voir avec sa troupe que je trouve formidable: Reese Wynnans au clavier, Lemar Carter formidable batteur et surtout ses 2 chanteuses Jade Macrae et Danniellle DeAndrea. Perso j'aime cette troupe aboutie et ses titres connus. Ce concert de North Sea est autre chose avec une ambiance de folie certainement, mais je préfère leur tournées.. a chacun...

Es de los guitarristas más insípidos del blues. Carece de todo feeling, no sólo tocando sino su voz tan poco negra -puede compararse a la de John Mayall, por ejemplo-. Al lado de Gary Moore se queda muy descafeinado, por no citar a Hendrix, etc...
