Great tips. I wish I had job shadowing opportunities when I was younger. I like the tip about writing down questions and submitting them prior to getting together. This is especially helpful for introverts who want to take a little more time developing a well thought out answer. As an introvert, I always feel I could have given a better answer if I was given a little more time to prepare. :)

does job shadowing count as experience?

Hi Joshua, i wouldn't really count it as work experience since you are not doing the work and also not doing it for long, usually job shadowing is only a few days. But you can definitely include it in your CV as one of the activities and experiences you have had. It would add even more value if you can add several job shadowing sessions for the same career with different professionals. This definitely shows how committed and interest you are in the field and i am sure it would be very appreciated by the person that will be looking at your CV. Maybe just include one section of Job shadowing / volunteering experiences and opportunities.
