So far most career coaches I asked did hesitate to answer questions and I asked them how did they help engineers to move out of a career dead end.....they had all poor communication skills despite presenting themselves well on LinkedIn and in the internet. So far I have to say career coaching consists almost or entirely from scammers, even the nice people that listen to you will fail to help you.

You could be right based on your personal experience, but I don't think it is totally correct. All coaches are not the same. Some are not professionals, if you meet a real professional coach, he/she should be able to help you out

@@chidaluben Are two dozen coaches and the question how their services can help me to move towards my goals not enough to make a statistical prediction that coaches, councillors and outplacement is crap and I asked the trade unions because they care for those layed off.....and they do not vouch for any of these coaches! So I dare to say, my experiences expose the whole industry as rather phony for at least 90% of all coaches.
We want the new contact to ask us to apply....the reason is evident, because this way we do not come across as needy. But this is no advice......I could tell you to buy low and sell high and no go and earn the shit out of the stock market. It does not really work that way, does it.
