What's sad is you see an actor like him do amazing performances, but struggles with insecurities *(grabbing his hair as soon as he got to the mic, biting his thumb, and then taking the focus off himself and praising others, despite having won the award. He's a very gracious winner, which made it a sin the way he got treated and showcased on The Jimmy Kimmel show, being publically humiliated.

Blitz DDL is extremely overrated. All of his roles feel synthetic, and you can always tell that he’s acting way too hard. He’s acting AT people, never WITH them like a great actor would. Yes he takes all his roles seriously, but he never makes an effort to elevate the cast around him. Every film he’s in suffers from that issue. I’d take Leo over DDL every time.

I just fu..king love Joaquin! He is too humble and so not fitting in the whole hollywood's style of fame that he feels even embarrassed to stand there in front of everyone. So humble that his whole speech was about nominee's colleges, not a single word about himself.

You could see the way the audience and the other nominees changed their posture, from kind of restless fidgeting to hanging onto his every word with rapt attention once he started in on the Leo story. Nobody was expecting any of that. He's beautiful.

This man is so humbled and gracious. Really lovely man to talk about others after he won, I love all his performances! 😭

Appreciating the nominees one by one. Humbling himself to recognize the actor who previously did his character. That would be the most genuine and epic acceptance speech in recent memory.

One of the best award speeches ever. Humble, lovely, witty, respectful, inspiring, grateful and a handful of sadness. It contains only the best part of humanity for 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

Joaquin as humble as ever. I've never heard a speech like that before. Talking about the greatness of others shows your greatness. You gotta love this guy for who he is and what he does. His role as the Joker moved me so much and in my opinion he deserves all of the awards he's getting. Phenomenal.

Getting awarded after 20 years of patient’s and still recognizing your fellow colleague without jealousy just amazing..... He made sure to name all his favorite actors names so humbly ..seeing them so excited and clapping made me happy also .. I couldn’t pass seeing brad pitt’s face clapping so proudly for Leonardo 🥲 I’m so happy being from the generation who grow up watching them. All of them so priceless 👏
