I came upon her out of the blue on KZread. I cannot believe I've never heard of this woman before!! Going to see her and her band Aug. 6th in Evansville Indiana!!!

This lady kicks arse, brilliant guitarist, great vocalist. It’s a gross miscarriage of justice, when gifted,talented musicians like Joanna Connor don’t get the recognition they truly deserve.

Some musicians don't want a lot of recognition; they like playing smaller venues and being more intimate with their audiences. I don't know about her of course, just a thought. BTW, she is awesome!

I think the bass player is holding the band back on this song. When he enters this song, it is at a slightly slower tempo and the band adjusts, but that is not the tempo chosen by the first player when starting the song. she takes a break, restarts at her original tempo, and then the bass player enters and sludges it up again. perhaps the bass player's tempo was selected at practice, I don't know. I'm not asking for a showman, just more artistic involvement verses working as a craftsman.

The most criminally under appreciated musician ever! She belongs at the upper echelon of the pantheon of immortal blues Gods and Goddesses.

Never seen a women come close to this level of guitar playing.

This woman is a MONSTER guitarist and a great singer as well. She so far, for most has been a hidden gem, but thanks to the web, more and more are hearing her. She has been paying her dues for a long time and deserves a break. It was really good to see her on one of Joe Bonamassa's Blues Cruises, in that Joe with all of his success was quick to recognize her incredible talent.

The drummer is a hell of a drummer 👍

You know, ms Conner is plenty technically proficient. She can hang with anybody. But what makes her special is how she speaks with her guitar. The way she uses it to project something beyond techniques and precision and out comes this depth of art. It's glorious

I saw one of her shows at a small blues club back around 2004, and Joanna was smokin’! She, along with Debbie Davies, deserve much more recognition for being the GREAT blues guitarists they are!

Best boogie, this side of Savoy Brown, she's GOT to bring her self down to New Orleans for Jazzfest.

She’s great, under appreciated, and EC should have invited her to his festivals. Great job with this old John Lee Hooker’s rhythmic blues classic, adding ZZ Top’s edginess, Magic Slim, a little SRV, and her own bad mama attitude, of course. I wish SRV had lived to jam with her. She’d a pushed him some.

I first saw Joanna about 22 years ago at the Harlem Avenue Lounge in Berwyn, Illinois. She kicked it back then and she's still doing it. Some band, huh?

Joanna Connor is just about the best guitarist there is today in the genre.

Joanna Connor has been dishing the fine, fine, fine blues and rock guitar a long time. She holds down a residency at Kingston Mines blue club in Chicago. And she is just an extraordinary guitarist. And BluesBroad does her usual great job on this one. ((Author first corrupted by the boogie via Savoy Brown and then saw this fellow named BB King open for the Stones in Detroit in 1972.))

I love this artist's talent. Someone else said it, why have I never heard of her until this year 😳?

We first saw Joanna in Bay City, Mi, in a Bluesfest that also had the great Larry McCray and Koko Taylor, in 1992. She killed it then and still does!

Just stumbled on this Lady and band, how refreshing to see heart and soul employed into everything, very gooooood

Seen her at Chicago Blues Fest in late 80's and small club years later. She blew me away. My friends were astonished.

Will some promoter bring this phenomenal lady here to the UK. I need to see her live as soon as possible.
