Here is a little background for anyone who dosen't know Joanna's history. "It was my university. I went out every night of the week. Within a month I had my first gig with the legendary Johnny Littlejohn. A few weeks later I became a part of Dion Payton and the 43rd St Bluesband. We were the house band at the Checkerboard Lounge, on the south side of Chicago, then owned by Buddy Guy. That’s when my schooling kicked into overdrive. I played with Buddy, Junior Wells, Otis Rush, Sammy Lawhorn, Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Magic Slim, Son Seals, Lonnie Brooks, Koko Taylor, just to name a few. I was blessed.”

Well there’s more to guitar than hitting a million notes and sliding over a million frets. Making every note count is important. Being melodic is important. She lacks a lot of that. She’s noisy. Technically she’s great but she doesn’t make every note count. In fact they’re forgettable. Sometimes less is more. All those notes aren’t as moving as a melodic guitar solo where every note counts.

This video is totally awesome and huge fun. Great to see a band enjoying themselves on stage. The way I searched for this video was the keywords "Joanna Connor 2020". I first saw a video of her on "Wings of Pegasus" when Fil analysed a video of her taken at a backyard barbeque. Fil sugarcoated her most serious problem - yes it is sad that people can reject fine musicianship for physical appearances. Shortly after, I clicked on a video that showed she SOLVED that unfortunate problem. I've decided that I will always look at the picture before clicking on the video. I sure am glad Joanna lost all that weight. Let's face facts: it's really distracting. Much worse, she was at an extremely high risk of diabetes, heart disease, fatigue, and all kinds of serious medical conditions.

get over yourself. or maybe go post the same comments on kingfish's videos.

@@RichardMcLamore I don't see me being over myself. This indicates that you are a pure troll who doesn't even read the posts he dismisses. Kingfish is also obese, and I bet you are, too. And what about me? About 35 pounds overweight, a couple of months ago I was about 75 pounds overweight. I feel better. Music is an athletic endeavor and is also a show. There are 11 comments on this video right now. Did you post the first one? Because I can't see your main post. Are you afraid to make a main post? You could just as easily have made a positive comment about Joanna, she's very good, but instead you decide to attack me personally. This goes to the idea that you're just a pure troll out to make people feel bad rather than a legitimate poster. Musicians, probably more than most people, appreciate it when somebody makes a nice comment about their show. So, why don't you go out and find a video you like and compliment the musician? There is nothing wrong with flattery. It is part of the Golden Rule, so if you're against flattery, you're against God.
