Never Heard about this Artist. But admire some of the paintings!
There are only a [handful] of abstract expressionist artists who could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Joan Mitchell. I listened to John Coltrane while watching this presentation.

She was ahead of her time.
She was only 66 when she died of lung cancer. Tobacco addiction is to blame for a lot of tragedies. Joan Mitchell was one of the greats, who died too soon.
Voilà une artiste qui fait passer une énergie incroyable, juste par une main et un pinceau, comme les œuvres du début des années 60. C'est au moment même où Y Klein avait recours à des corps enduits de peinture, pour fixer le mouvement sur la toile. Quelle leçon ! On remarque particulièrement l"'élégance de LADYBUG - 1957 (@1:25), et les clins d'oeil des toutes dernières œuvres. Un regret dans cette immense série sur la peinture, c'est le manque d'une courte indication, en manière de générique de fin, sur quelques un des musées où l'on peut voir les œuvres…
