Joan Crawford, was true Hollywood Royalty! She started acting at age 16! Hollywood saved her life! I loved all of her movies! Joan, Lucy and Vivian were all my favorite actresses! Thanks for this episode! ❤

I had no idea Joan was so diminutive.. she looked larger than life in movies.

Despite her personal issues (from childhood trauma) she was a fascinating and captivating woman. She had the “it” factor. She truly loved and adored every single fan. She was without a doubt the most driven, motivated and hardworking woman in Hollywood.

This is when Hollywood was still Glamorous. The actors and actresses were like Royalty. They had such class and an elegance. Not like today's actor's, they are just film actor's. Back in the sixties they were Real Movie Stars and acted... Didn't have to depend on special effects and Green Screens to make the film..

Joan's smile when the applause for her kept going was so charming ❤ I'm so used to seeing her in dramatic roles but she pulls off comedy so well too. A true talent and a class act.

When Joan grabbed the bottle 😁😆 Still had her dancing skills. 💃 look at her face ,pure joy One of the original flappers.

Joan looked so tiny especially standing next to lucy who was very tall.

You know when i first saw joan in movies i always picture her as tall slender lady with long legs 😅but when i find out she was actually 5'4 i was like what unbelievable

Joan was known to be extremely charitable person. She supported a lot of Hollywood staff (technicians, stuntman, and other small time workers) for the education of their children and hospital bills, more often anonymously. Always replied each fan letter

She was one of a kind. An incredibly beautiful and talented woman who appreciated her fans A movie star, a business woman, a mother, and simply amazing..There will never be another Joan Crawford. She's iconic. So nice to know that she supported Hollywood staff with generosity. A class act woman.

She was so beautiful, even then. Yeah she wasn't 20 anymore, but she aged so gracefully. Lovely Joan.

I think we really get a glimpse into Joan’s naturally southern dialect. Of course she never used it, but it’s also heard in her airport interview. Unfortunately in both programs, she was going in and out of alcohol problems. However, like many stars said, she never let it get in the way of her work. I think this is a prime example.

In her later films, her voice slips between carefully practiced M-G-M elocution and Texas drawl. At least that's what I've noticed.

I read somewhere that Lucy and Joan clashed frequently on the set and Joan was even quoted as saying "And people call me a bitch!" in regards to Ms Ball.

She still looked great during her mid-sixties!

It's weird how episodes of shows from over 45 years ago can stay in my mind, yet it's so easy for me to forget what I wore or ate the day before. (Smile)

I used to believe the inaccurate mommy dearest version of Joan until I read more about her , watched her and heard other peoples memory of her including Barbara Stanwyck and Steven Spielberg , her other children …. I find her classy , polite, talented , caring and professional and delightful . Here is to you Joan . Thank you .

Joan with her red hair! Everyone seems to think it was black but she had red hair and freckles! Naturally :) Lucy's was helped by the beauty salon ;-)

Lucy: “A big star like her reduced to working as a maid” … Vivian: “She must’ve sold all her furniture to buy food.” 😄

She even looked GREAT as a cleaner.

I love these three legendary gals together. It's surprising to see that Joan was actually quite a small woman. You always think of her as tall and commanding in most of her movies because she has such a strong presence but both Lucy and Viv have quite a bit of height on her.

I was 7 years old when this premiered. Lucy was 57, the age I am now.

Great seeing Joan again; always a fan; great episode;

It s interesting to think how some shows back in the late 60' still had the flavours of the 50s early 60'

Never saw this episode before. So funny!!!

In the 60s, there was a lot of nostalgia for the Roaring twenties. Like the films Bonnie and Clyde, Thoroughly Modern Millie and the #1 hit record "Winchester Cathedral '

Even with those clothes, she is beeeeauty-full!
