Y’all…I would not have taken the time to do a 9 minute review if I thought this album was like absolutely horrible lol I gave it a C+ and thoroughly explained why and gave my honest feedback. I think some of y’all need to realize Miss J Lo ain’t all that great lol in fact like five of her albums I didn’t even know existed until recently 🤷🏾‍♂️ and compared to other reviews I have seen this one is the most positive 🙃 Also this is the only album of hers where I’ve saved quite a few songs from and frequently listen to them, doesn’t change my rating or thoughts I just like them cuz they are fun to dance to and stuff lol so yea…

I think it’s really interesting that you found a lot of the lyrics mediocre or bad because that was actually one of my favorite things about the album. “I watched my mother miss out on her life” “Blessings can blossom from a broken child” “Learn with every lesson, it’s progress not perfection” You’re absolutely right, the entire album is about BEN but also the journey it took for her to get back to him. And I thought the lyrics perfectly captured that. I’m all about growth and self reflection and that’s what this album is aside from LOVE, obviously lol.. I think you gave both projects a fair shot and gotta respect you for it. Especially because you were RESPECTFUL and not one of the ppl that seem to wanna hate on JLo just for clout. If you haven’t watched the making of documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, I suggest you do. It just gives you a lot more appreciation for the project and a lot more insight about JLo herself.

The lyrics you pointed out are decent, I'll give you that. But I'm still listening to these songs and it's almost like I'm listening to the songs I used to listen to by my girls from the Disney Channel hahaha not extremely bad but just okay. I think I stated she should have taken her time and maybe collaborated a little and the lyrics could have been like greater than they were? I was listening to one song yesterday and I had to replay a part because she used the adverbs "really" and "very" and I was like oooooooooh no honey use your college words lol but I mean the fact that I'm still listening to most songs proves its not thaaaat bad lol And I will check out that documentary. Her journey and the story behind the album is interesting! Thanks for sharing! 😊

@@TheJSpot93 lolll.. some lyrics definitely give Disney but I think it makes sense for an album that’s about self/reflection and if you know anything about Jennifer’s music. My girl is always a little fruity lolll but we love her for it. She loves love. It’s like Gaga.. some of her lyrics can be corny but most ppl don’t blink an eye. Also, she co-wrote every single song on this album. It was her first time doing that since This is Me… Then.

Wellllll thats why I rated it a C+ lol and not an F or something. But no, the lyrics could have been sooo much better. They were too on the nose for me. Like I said in the video some metaphors and figurative language goes a lonnnng way 🤷🏾‍♂️

J-Lo lied about her appearance! Have you seen her in a recent interview without filters???? She looks so different without filters and photoshops!!! I'm sure the director used filters when he shot the movie. Look up the interview where she wore a big black hat and black outfits.

I love jlo and went in going in open minded & curious to see what an album would be since she hasn’t had one since 2014, yes singles and the marry me soundtrack which is kinda an album? I found myself since this album came out, having it on repeat. I would argue her earlier albums haven’t always been super cohesive. The ones that have been cohesive to me are, this is me then, love?, & AKA. But this to me has been her very best because it feels vocally it’s been her best and most honest and most cohesive. Funny that you didn’t like dear Ben part 2, although I understand your sentiment the song itself to me is great to me. Personally I feel that it’s their life and their personal life that we only know so much of, we truly don’t know their relationship because we aren’t close to them but surprisingly I feel I loved the song the most since the release. So for me it’s her strongest versus her others. Although I feel people unfairly compare her to others when others who would have done the same kinds film, they would receive praise but because it’s JLO, no one ever really wants to give her credit and I think that’s unfortunate. Side note you should do a chromatica ball film reaction? It’s on HBO MAX!

I do feel like people misjudge her but at the same time she tries to do too much lol I feel like she should have picked a focus either music or acting and stuck with it…music imo would have been the best avenue for her to explore because she is an amazing dancer and her songs are not the best but very catchy. She shouldn’t try to do everything all at once is the reason I think she gets judged poorly 🤷🏾‍♂️ I will have to check out Chromatica Ball! Thanks for suggesting!

@@TheJSpot93 I kinda get your point but I think why not do all the things you want to do? There’s no exactly harm in doing a lot what inspires you and to me it feels she’s always had a healthy balance especially like I said considering there was 10 years difference of this new album and the one before in 2014. I just think jlo can’t necessarily win, it’s either “too much” or not enough which is probably why she doesn’t listen to that, and does whatever she feels. Her next full on film is actually a musical so we will see how that goes with the general public. And yeah honestly Gaga killed it with that show!

Lololol my bestie feels the same! BUT I played her the Can’t Get Enough remix ft Latto and she said the song was actually okay because of Latto and that JLo actually didn’t annoy her lol so if you haven’t tried that song definitely give it a listen or just watch the music video because regardless of her singing abilities JLo is FINE and can actually dance unlike most artists these days lol
