Wow, she had her voice mixed with background vocalists' in choruses of some of her songs in the early 2000s and y'all so stupid to disregard her whole artistry because of that and are chasing her for that. Rihanna usimg Bebe Rexha's vocals in her songs, Britney not singing on half of her 3 albums' tracklists and Selena using Chatlie XCX background vocals is a different thing? Somehow no one chases them for that. Go watch BlackFemminity TV and Honest that spreads this shit to keep indulging in that. This is a blame of her past record label it left background vocalists vocals in few of her early singles in the choruses so I'd blame it on that. It wasn't like JLo went to the studio and told "yeah, mix my voice", lol. Her career is 10000000x more than all these few generic songs Black community hates her for. But whatever you like. Typical American- full of hate and hypocrisy.

Don't be dampened by the stans coming for you. You were measured and fair in your criticism. That project is just bad all around!

You nailed it. This "movie" was absolutely horrible! It was an attempt to try to get you to feel sorry for JLo and to feed her ego. It was so uncomfortable and cringe to watch...literally the worst "movie" of all time. It showed that when JLo has full artistic control of the project, she cannot entertain. It's beyond obvious after watching this that her successful projects were produced by someone else with artistic talent...definitely not by JLo herself. I was just floored at how horrible it was. I saw the trailer the other day and I was SO EMBARRASSED for her - I was cringing the entire time - what a ridiculous campy vanity project. OMG and I really do like Jennifer - how in the heck did her people let her do this??

J Lo's name is bigger than her career. She cant accept that her era has come and gone .

I agree lol, the movie had potential but this was kinda horrid. I can admit I love a good Garbage Fire movie and I found some of the music ( and by that I meant the beats and instrumentals, not her vocals) to be excellent, and had someone else sang the songs they would have been hits. I think the issue is she wrote, starred in, and financed this film so she did the whole " I do what I want and no one can tell me otherwise" She definitely needed a couple no's and some outside input on the film.

No I agree. The movie was cringe and JLo doesn't have the voice or acting skills to pull something like this off. She's always just been very pretty and super vain. This movie was just that- an expensive vanity project.

Apparently, the announcement of her divorce will be after her tour to save face… Imagine now she will go on tour singing every night about her perfect love story never told, while everyone knows is all over…. such an humiliation, and she did it to herself all alone.

Watched the movie before seeing this - completely agree. The combincation of a very very very bad plot with the music and dancing just doesn't work. Her music is not dance music, especially the dancing under the rain one was just so hard to watch. Disappointing

I've always tried to find a reason to dislike JLo, and i don't know why. I guess i'm just not a bandwagon-er LOL. Her voice is not the best as a singer, she is a great actress though and her dancing of course is dope! I just watched it and thought it was great! I can see how haters would pick it apart, bcuz let's face it, that's what ppl do to celebs, but I thought she told a great story without telling too much. AND she partnered with Nuyorican productions....woohoo!!!

This movie is ridicolous.

This is me then was classic. Very solid project, great radio songs, and even better deep cuts. Dear Ben pt1 made me feel like i fucking loved that man. But this is me now is weak af. I waited 20 years and Dear Ben 2 is wack. The songs are forgettable. I cant believe 25 years of vocal coaching culminated into this trash. The title track is bearable and Midnight Trip to Vegas is a banger instaclassic. Otherwise hot piece of garbage. If its a representation of their love, im worried it won't last.

I thought it was amazing. I put the movie on in my gym when I workout to inspire me to push harder. She is a beast and I can only hope to be that fit and active when I am 54. As a fellow Puerto Rican, her work ethic and drive inspires me. I wish there was someone like her when I was little to look up to.

It's such a great visual album/film. It reminds me of Pink Floyd's surrealist film The Wall. I honestly didn't know what to expect, and you simply cant categorize it. I highly recommend it.
