I have a 8W7 in a ported box and this subwoofer is the most impressive woofer I’ve ever experienced.

Those jls are built to the hilt and perform to perfection

I have a JL WO10.4 rated at 125-150 watts RMS. I Bought in about 2004, I recently pulled it out of the closet And have been putting about 300 watts RMS to it with no trouble, shows the quality of JL audio

I currently have 2 jlw0 10” in a sealed box in my crew cab Silverado on a sundown sia 1750. They are not enough bass. One buddy tells me just to put them in a ported box. I had a 12” w7 in a ported box in a Lexus is300 with a jl 1000/1 14 years ago and that was loud. I did mids and highs truck is set up for sq. I want something with a lot more bass while maintaining sq. I’ve been looking at doing possibly 2 w6 8” or 2 w7 8” in a ported box. I was reading through your comments and saw you mentioned the ddaudio 2508g which I could buy 2 for the price of one w7 pretty much. What would you recommend?

JL is the shit! but for the price I went with Savard 8". It has a 37.4 RF and the QES is 0.744 and for the price you can get 2 Savard 8" subs for the price of 1 JL. Both are awesome!!

The arc audio arc 8 fs is 22hz

It's amazing that the w7's have been around almost 20 years and yet they remain the exact same price lol. They aren't even that good, they don't hold up at all. I went through 3 13's in the first year of having mine back in the day. They sound good but I would rather have Rockford T1's than anything from JL.

Not really i have the w7 8” sub and the epics 8” and to tell u the truth i like the sound of the epics better they play lower than the jl and they have the same output imo and thats 1 sub vs 1 sub. Have u heard the epic 8” before? Only reason why i put the last comment is because u said u could not find a 8” sub with a fs lower than 35 and that epic s has a fs of 24

@@erobles396010 it has a low fs, but I looked at the entire specs and everything else is pretty low on the performance side.. but to each their own. I’ve had my experience with cookie cutter subs and I will never go back.

500 rms is kinda weak B2 rampage 8 has an fs in low 30s rated at 1000rms probability has similar sq and is like half the price.

Stereo Integrity, B2 audio, and Tezla audio are good SQ subs. But the w7 is just on another level. If stereo integrity made an 8” I would get it.

JL subs dont need as much power to have output. It is an SQ sub that also has great output. B2 Rampage couldnt even begin to compare in SQ. But most of us are not looking for the most SQ. We want great sound but we want lots of output and or lows. So other subs make more sense for those needs.

Currently running b2 rampage. W7 doesn't come close in sq, spl or price point. Simply paying for a name, nothing special about JL but do what you want with your money

JL has a massive factory with alot of employees to pay. Thats why everything they make is so expensive. Fantastic for the sq crowd but to the average user you can get something that sounds the same to your ears for half the price.

@@GamerBoy-zu5pd crazy thing is people think I bought it new. Look at my channel, 2 year old videos of me buying and restoring used JL products from OfferUp. Where I live car audio has always thrived so I’m lucky to find good audio for less. It’s no secret
