The assumption of Prof. Mutua is that voters have a say on who occupies public office. It is a false assumption.

They do to some degree. The case of Sonko can't be that he went into office because of all other factors without the vote. Some other factors come to play but they don't fully/totally nullify the impact of the vote.

Prof. Mutua is trying too hard to impress. His articles on Daily Nation are pretty much the same. He can't make an argument simple. The Grand Muller, on the other hand, is making simple, straightforward, and honest arguments. But this show was one-sided, Mutua taking too much center stage.
