Her name is Tatiana, she is mostly self taught, her influences include Gwen Stefani, and for the harsh, Otep and Randy Blythe (Lamb of God). Her harsh vocals are coming from the false vocal folds , which are above the vocal chords. Glad you noticed Vlad on drums, this live session is a redo of an older song to showcase him, as he had joined the band not long before this. He is classically trained on piano, and self taught on drums. Eugene plays a 5 string Overload bass, and does tap a lot. Roman, on guitar, has played ESP, OD for quite a while, and I've heard he is going to Jackson now. They are from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, the part Russia took in 2014. According to their website, they were formed in 2009, but they consider 2010 (wiki says 2008/09) as the year of formation because none of the original members remain. 4 albums to date, and some EP's. This is from the 2nd album, King of Everything, in 2016. Tati can do it live too, the usual next step is to see that, with either Perennial live at Wacken 2019, or Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev. Also check out, Teacher, Teacher, Home Back, Vortex, and Judgment (and Punishment). You didn't have to redo the video because of the pink border, the audio and your reaction were fine, we've seen this video hundreds of times.

I prefer her performance of Who is Gonna Be the One (Live) / Napalm Records video. The Perennial live at Wacken gets a lot of attention, but it is the last song in their set, and she is pretty gassed. Of course, she still knocks it out of the park, but the other is their first song of the evening, and she goes all in. But really, you can't go wrong with anything they do live - the fact that she can pull these vocal gymnastics off night after night is impressive regardless.

He isn't even a drummer, that's the crazy part. Vlad is actually a trained pianist and guitarist who started playing drums because he was asked to fill in. He considers himself a pianist first and he actually writes quite a lot of their stuff on piano since joining the band.

Bro you're going to love this band. This is about a 4 for Jinjer, their songs get alot more complex along with a heavier sound from the band and Tati. I'd suggest Jinjer Judgement and Punishment either the omv or the one take vocal performance. But if yall want to dive into some of the heavier side of Jinjer, Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev is where ya go.

Really recommend a listen with the lyrics pulled up. Like Pau from The Warning, Tatiana writes amazing lyrics in a second language. The band is from Eastern Ukraine and therefore primarily Russian speaking. So much so that only two of the members are comfortable giving interviews in English. Tatiana is as strong a lyricist as she is a vocalist. Their live performance of Perennial at Wacken is great. Again, the lyrics are pure poetry.

This was intended to show off Vlad who, a skilled pianist, had become the new drummer. Smooth guitar like light on shimmering water and then...... PIRANHA! Tatiana is a Pisces. See the goldfish in her earrings? The sign = two fish, two personalities. My late partner was Pisces and bipolar -- it totally fits! Tatiana was a teacher in Ukraine before music "hooked" her (pun intended) - imagine being the class clown? Cue their song "Teacher, Teacher"! Such a tight and talented band. There is a trained, careful way to growl/scream without hurting your voice and Tatiana does it naturally. Some just have the instinct for it, I guess! Eugene the bassist is VERY good - looks like Tyrion Lannister in the other song video I recommende!

kzread.info/dash/bejne/eoqtx9GoZbiperg.htmlsi=GCvX1dUctXpdXBmo Link to "The Charismatic Voice" channel. Elizabeth is an opera singer/vocal coach that breaks down the different areas of the vocal tract Tatiana is using for her cleans and screams. I also recommend watching her taking Will Ramos (Lorna Shore) vocalist into a vocal lab and filming how his vocal tract is unusual. He's another person that has excellent clean singing and screaming. I love watching The Charismatic Voice as Elizabeth breaks down so many different vocal abilities. Plus she's just a pleasure to watch and learn from. Pisces was the first song I had ever heard from Jinjer, and once you realize what she's singing/screaming about, it flows together perfectly and makes sense. ❤ Love and light from Texas

I have been enjoying watching reactions to this for about six months now...I think that one of the funniest, most common reactions (well, let's make it the second most common reaction, because the most common reaction is people immediately panicking and pausing it and saying: "What the hell was that?!!" while looking at their equipment, like maybe they have a bad cable or something.) It's a quick grin when the first harsh vocal line comes in, like: "Oh! Wow! What a surprise changeup! That's neat!" Now, at this point, they're thinking this is where, like, maybe the bassist has come in with his vocal part. It's not until at least the second line that they realize: "Oh...That's HER singing that part"...Heh...

Hello my friends Finn and B!!!...No one better than you, to make a reaction video and analyze this incredible singer, with THE MOST AMAZING VOCAL RANGE, who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, KZread and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet!!!... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano!!...You can see in KZread to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true!!!...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide!!!...Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to his LIVE PERFORMANCE of the song "Sinful Passion" at Sochi in 2018, and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...Link of the song:...kzread.info/dash/bejne/iW16zqaGc9KefLg.htmlsi=FeChki639aJASx0b

Jinjer are from Donetsk, and barely escaped when the city was overrun by invading Orcs in 2022 (as in some band members had to drive through explosions.) Since then they have tirelessly worked as ambassadors for Ukraine, raising money and awareness to fight the filthy Orcs. The band is amazing. Tatiana takes a lot of the attention because of her remarkable range - sweet singing, vicious growls and even crazy belts (all of which she demonstrated here - btw, the belt is not performed live - too taxing to do night after night, so she growls through that instead generally). However, the band is exceptional and shows a lot of jazz influence.

Also: Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox and Alissa White-Glutz of Arch Enemy. The drum patterns and runs are off beat and intrcate, and the instrumentation in the verses is so good. The one take vocal performance of Judgement and Punishment by Tatiana Schmayluk is spectacular. That song blends 3 different musical styles. Something else I recommend is the drum cam drum playthrough by Vladislav for the live version of the song "Mediator."

Tatiana's vocal work professionally before joining Jinjer was with a band named Prophecy, where she did harsh vocals and clean singing as a teenager, The Kodry (English spelling), who did quirky jazzy reggae covers of grunge tunes and that kind of thing, and she also performed quite a lot solo in pubs and smaller venues as a jazz lounge singer when she was in university. Hence the mixture of those vocal styles in Jinjer

My simple take regarding her "Satanic" voice: If you were a selfless fish (Pisces) who wanted to see the world but was a bit skittish, and then got into the nets and was hooked by handsome butchers who proceed to rip away your scales and entrails (emeralds)... you'd growl too! So you see, sometimes the lyrics call for extreme vocals in a song. Tatiana (who's not singing as someone possessed, so you can toss the garlic back into the spaghetti sauce) wrote an incredible story and sang about it the way it deserved to be sung... as with most of her songs. Some vocalist just keep singing in their nice and charming voice even when the lyrics call out desperation. Not so with Tati. Her extreme expression - a rare ability - adds so much more to a song... especially if you follow the music with the lyrics and how the beautiful cacophony tells the story. Thx, RLC!

A great video to really focus on her that is amazing is Jinjer - Judgement (& Punishment) One Take Vocal Performance. It's just her singing to the track so you can really see her switches. The band is just remarkable though. Unfortunately, the other members often get overlooked due to Tatiana's shocking range, but they are all extremely talented and the new (current) drummer really helped them come together into a much tighter unit.

Sure it could be a coffee shop vibe! The mellow parts are where the customers are needing their caffeine fix, whilst the growly parts are where the caffeine hits.

I would say Tati burned down the coffee shop ;-) Jinjer was created in 2008 in what is now the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine. The band will be completely replaced by 2015, which is why they now call 2009 their founding year. In the past they couldn't say where the band name came from. None of them were there when it was created. In 2014 they fled the Russian-backed civil war to the west of the country. When the current invasion started, they were in Kiev and helped to defend the city on the civilian side. Because of the general mobilization, men are no longer allowed to leave the shop. The band went on tour with a special permit and raised money for Ukraine. Picies was the international breakthrough in 2016. Picies is a zodiac sign that Tati also belongs to. Basically she describes herself. The growls occur with a fold of skin in front of the vocal cords. You use them to clear your throat or moan. Everyone uses them and they are correspondingly easy to train: Easy and Safe Metal Screaming Tutorial (Beginner Level)

Tatiana and Eugene are both Pisces, and both wrote the lyrics to this song. Tatiana wrote the core of the song and Eugene wrote the end. The original ending to Pisces was completely different and was changed last minute in studio. It was an entirely different mode and key and tempo originally, with different lyrics. The band still considers this song to be unfinished and is one of the band's least favorite songs in general

Once over the 'shock'...an addictive tune. The musicians are awesome! Clever, with the growl used in good lyrical context and the music for me creating a real underwater dreamy sound...matching the song perfectly. Clever b*****ds :-)

This doesn't mean growl/scream is an untrained. If you do it wrong, you'll never sing again. The fact that she can switch from singing to growling and back effortlessly means she's doing it right. ALL singing methods require hydration. If you don't do it, you'll damage your vocal cords. That's important as any vocal coach will tell you.

Tatiana uses her false vocal cords to growl like that, and, yes, you need to care for them like you would your regular vocal cords. If taught correctly, it only takes about 2 minutes to learn to use them, but then, just like any singing, you need to practice, practice, practice to get good.
