@@bovery23 someone else pointed out the seal laugh is just the sound of laughter when you are inhaling. Carr simply normally does the inhale laugh, and sometimes the exhale laugh.

@@bovery23 its not an act I make that sound too. I think he normally laughs silently and the seal sound is just him sharp/fast inhaling. Its that case for me at least.

Don't reckon Jimmy's false as much as his role on as host doesn't let him interact with anyone on an even level. He doesn't play the game, he doesn't actively contribute at all most of the time outside of a line or two... Sometimes it feels like his role is almost decorative.

We have to redo lots of training in work, and when I was moaning about it once my boss said, “well it’s good to test your knowledge.” You can guess my response 😉

Jimmy flung the pen almost faster than the camera could follow and Sean caught and uncapped that plastic missile without breaking eye contact! Very slick.

Miles and Sean with the Welks made me LOL. Miles: " I'll give you 10 pounds if you eat them all." Sean: " Ten pounds?" Fair shout to Jimmy to ask the producers to sponsor more money - which they did. I wonder if that's why Miles says " Money...a grand? in one of these clips." Sean lock - tall, smart and handsome.

"By using sheer WILLPOWER, I used the 10 again..." He was brilliant X

I'm not sure about that either. I think Miles has been genuinely laughing his ass of on many panel shows for years, and it never struck me as a fake laughter. A better example for performance laughing is Jimmy's seal impression, and even that's more of a slightly forced trademark than a narcissistic feat. Although on his built up comedy character that could also work well. When Jimmy was on TV Heaven, Telly Hell with Sean, he wasn't doing that put-on laugh.

Fodi I've heard that he actually used to have a fake laugh to cover up the asphyxiating seal noise but later embraced it which explains the difference.

Fodi He does genuinely laugh. When he does his own stand up you can see him trying not to laugh at what he's saying. I think the only thing that stops him is nerves. He is just one of those people that cracks up incredibly easily.

RIP Sean. One of the best to ever do it. Given me many laughs before bed watching these clips and will continue to for many years. All the love x

He's brought us all the best laughs with his superb and unique sense of humour. nobody ever did mascots and wrote limericks the way he did. thanks for the great time, Sean. Rest In Peace.

Great guy. Sadly missed. The kind of guy that could cheer you up after a funeral. Rest well Sean. 💜

In my opinion, Sean Lock was unparalleled in his comedic genius. An immense performer and his passing has created a gigantic void. His memory will live on through these magical videos, showing just how unique and talented he was.

It's hard to accept how many more jokes were left unsaid by Sean. He is gone too soon.

Sean's death has really affected me absolutely loved his comedy and saw him perform many times and when I heard it caught me so off guard I've just been watching these clips non stop since the terrible news and I am still in disbelief. RIP you will never be forgotten.

yeah i agree. I've always seen jason mansford as a poor mans peter kay. he doesnt really have any charisma. but that whole regular bloke down the pub thing is probably why he's sucessful. bit like john bishop. accessibility, relatibility. And you're right we do meet people far funnier but comedy is so much more than just being funny. it's about confidence (I gave stand up a go and its terrifying) having quick wit to deal with hecklers, being able to construct a 15 minute to an hour long set full of consitently good jokes, having a good rapport with audience etc

So sad to hear of Sean's passing! He's been a constant source of laughs and absolute perfection for my (sometimes much needed) humour fix. Watching 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and his stand-up; he's been nothing short of fantastic. I'm gutted for his family and friends. He will be missed, but thanks for the memories Sean! Rest in Peace. T_T

Sean's brilliance is that he doesn't look like he's "doing comedy." It appears that he's just being himself and it's, coincidentally, hilarious. Jon got it right when he said, "...you're a genius."
