Jimmy Kimmel | Club Random with Bill Maher
Ойын-сауық
Listen to the Show on all Podcast Apps "Club Random with Bill Maher" podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...
Bill Maher and Jimmy Kimmel randomly riff on why Bill hates hockey, how Bill's advice could have cost Jimmy millions, the Conan O’Brien-Jay Leno feud during the late night wars, why Jimmy loves David Letterman, Jimmy’s high profile friends, and how Jimmy saw Bill and Jerry Seinfeld in concert when he was in college.

Jay had his mouth piece agent ( see the made for TV movie about it, with Kathy Bates playing Jay's agent or ?) and I am sure many other paid people who were pushing for him and saying things that were true and maybe some that were not, when he took the TS from Dave and then when it was his time to go, even if he was #1 in his time slot, he did the same thing to Conan as he did to Dave and Bill thinks he's just one guy, by himself, trying to keep his career going, while helping others

Anyone interested in the battle for Late Night after Carson left, should watch the HBO film “The Late Shift”. The 2 actors that played Leno and Letterman really nailed their parts. And all the maneuvering & chaos that was going on, behind the scenes, was really something to see. Jay’s female manager (played by Kathy Bates) was definitely the craziest. She actually refused to have certain celebrity guests because they were on Arsenio, insulted NBC execs to their faces and canceled the Tonight Show minutes before it aired live. Jay, who was in denial about how bad she was, was basically told by NBC either you fire her or you’ll lose the show. I’m glad he made the right choice.

I really enjoyed this episode. It kind of reminds me of my therapy sessions. We talked mostly about stuff of interest, not so much how fucked my brain or emotions were. I found that worked the best for me. Even though people say that therapists aren't supposed to talk to their patients like that. If more therapists did, I think less people would feel lonely and depressed. It's therapeutic to just shoot the shit, especially with people you have common interests with.

Respectfully there is no debate, in a republic like America the fact firearm classes aren't taught in school let's you know the system we are under, in a culture like America it's not a surprise that mass shootings happen, they conveniently only count certain type of shootings as mass shootings even though they happen all the time in low income communities all they time

@@user-ik5ze1sh7i Vegas isn't a low income community. But that's ok, because you don't live in this country, anyway, and your English sucks.

Jimmy sounded like he was still sick. He’s had Covid twice in the past month. Jimmy Kimmel live is one of the best shows on TV.
That's how you live a long life. Moderation!!! Italian grandparents from Italy. Smoked Chesterfields, Drank JD, homemade wine. Worked 50 hrs a week. Never saw them buzzed. Just a glass or two. Grandfather recieved award 52 years employed as a Penn Line Trucker. 52 years never called in sick. I cannot imagine that. He lived 89 looked like he was 55. Full head of salt and pep hair, slim, walked like a 20 year old. Grandmother 101, smoked Salim. Worked 50 + years as a seamstress. Worked till 80 +. Drove until 101. Once my Mom 72 died of cancer Bladder. She NEVER smoked or drank, hated taste of all alcohol. My Grandmother gave up she stopped eating etc. Main Main Main reason they lived so long. Very little sugar, no salt most important. 90% of their food was grown in our garden. It was huge. Every fall 4 weeks of canning, stewing, fermenting. No chemicals, Pesticides never. No processed fake boxed foods like today. Even meats they raised rabbits, chickens etc I do not remember them ever eating a steak (beef]. 7 days a week it was Broccoli, Spinach, Dandelions, Cauliflower and lbs of garlic.
I love Jimmy Kimmel…his honesty….his timing….his vulnerability…..his tact …most of the time….he has a good heart and if he is ever mean spirited its been someone who has warranted it…. Like MTG or Humpty Dumpty

Another great episode! Maher better keep doing these
I’ve really enjoyed this podcast!👍
Thanks for this Bill.
Love the realness in these podcasts!! Like the old times
Bill is rather sauced in this one 🍻 Great conversation!
This show is so cool. Love it
YOUR STORY ABOUT YOUR FATHER SHOWING UP IN YOUR FIRST GRADE CLASS UNANNOUNCED TO TAKE YOU TO YOUR FIRST GAME IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE STORIES THANK YOU BASEBALL IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT BRINGS US ALL TOGETHER
Love these two! Impressive how good Jimmy is at disagreeing with Bill -- Bill usually hates that, but not for Jimmy!
I love that you're aware of the importance of a good/healthy diet Bill!!! So proud of you that you actually know what your greatest asset in life is. I love asking that question of people.
Love the podcast, bill
The dentist I had as a child gave me mercury to take home to play with. My brothers used to get it out of silent light switches that were common in homes. We would put it in a box push it around or coat nickels with it. Our parents didn't know any better.
Great Episode! Love Kimmel! I think Seth McFarlane would be an Amazing guest!! Keep them coming 👍🏻
As a huge Bill Maher fan from the deep red parts of Texas (who identifies as a centrist Democrat) this show is so refreshing! I'm already seeing shows anytime they're in TX or OK, but it's nice to have this format. I was hoping Jimmy Kimmel would be on it (my 2 fav late night hosts) and look at this! THANK YOU BILL for allowing us to hang with ya, share a J, and a nice drink while you ask the things we've always wanted to know! It means a lot to ppl like me who are so damn hungry for a voice of reason that thinks like we do. I'll tell you this, in the red state I live in, your brand of liberalism is something people get on board with.... not this defund the police, protect Trans abortion rights nonsense. It's about dignity and common sense, we're all equal, but let's make that truly equal. Lastly, I liked what you said about the percentage of gays a couple of real times ago. As a 34 y.o. gay man myself, I see way too many instances of ppl just going with a trend. My daughter questioned me and said she may be gay, I told her it's fine. However , don't attach a label to yourself now that can't be so easily removed. You be you, but don't close any doors until you are 100% sure. We have to remember that 10% of a population being gay is probably high end of accurate, not 20+... Liberals are their own worst enemy, including my "community " at times. Thank you so much Bill. Jimmy, so damn fun to see you in a laid back setting. We love you guys! Take care and wishing yall the best health, happiness, and success for many many more years to come!!!- Will Banks, RN, BSN

What folks on social media don't understand is that if FAR-RIGHT is dangerous than FAR-LEFT is way too dangerous. One should remain CENTRE-LEFT or CENTRE-RIGHT and always should support FREE SPEECH even if it offends the person infront of you.

I remember seeing a documentary as a kid about a town in Italy that went insane due to mercury poisoning. Sometime prior to me watching that, I broke a thermometer and was playing with the mercury. I was terrified thinking I was gonna die when I saw that documentary lol

One of the theories concering Vincent Van Gogh's decline into insanity, is that he would thin down the lead paint in his paint brushes with his tongue, and that he possibly enjoyed the taste. Art historians also agree that he consumed turpentine.

When I was a child in the 70’s, I broke a thermometer 🌡 in my mouth, got bit by a stray dog 🐶 on my face, climbed up on a stove and turned the burners 🔥on and stuck a key 🔑 in a light socket. My mom took me to the emergency room so many times that they told her they were gonna investigate her for child abuse if I showed up again. And that doesn’t even include all my dirt bike and 3 wheeler accidents in my teens. It’s amazing I’m still alive. Also… Sorry mom!
