Jimmy's wife is having a baby soon. He has two older kids so it's been a long time since he took care of a baby. To brush up and get some advice on how to raise a child, he went right to the source and asked a child to help him figure some things out.

aygecko But the number one thing is you need a blanket to put it underneath the baby cause there's bacteria on the flow and also you need powder when your cleaning the baby. plus she didn't tell why you need to change the baby but.

@manali_88 many times the parents are more "carefull" with the first kid. Like with rules and restrictions. But when the yunger kid/kids are arond at the same time the parents tend to let them do more erlier in terms of age. It's just something that hapens in generall.

I shall tell you the tale of how DPS (Doll Protective Services, those baby snatchers) kidnapped my child. It was the fall of 2000, and times were hard. My sisters and I had lost our jobs at The House of Ballerinas, Artists and Princesses, and we were forced to take residence with my parents. (Though eventually one of us found work as a barista treating other people's children-though sales were down because Cappuccinos were banned.) I had no money to buy clothes, soap or healthcare. And in a sea of forty children, it was easy for her to get lost in the mix. I soon noticed that my Lucy was in bad shape. I had attempted to teach my one-year-old the fine art of jumping on a trampoline, flying through the air and cooking with Mommy. But one day she simply refused to do any of her favorite activities. I realized that her eye infection had gotten worse, in fact I knew at this point she might be blind in that eye. I put her to bed, then attempted to run my fingers through her hair because we couldn't afford a brush. The next day she was feeling better, but was obviously still visually impaired. Nonetheless, I decided that some fresh air would do her good and placed her in our communal stroller. Life seemed to be going well, she even took another nap, even though I hadn't asked her to. I took her sleeping more as a sign that she was more comfortable and rejoiced. The next day a loud knock came at the door. My mother answered it, and explained that she was watching the children, as were away at school attempting to better the lives of ourselves and our children. (I was working on an important letter of the alphabet when I got the call to come home.) We got there just in time to see the men who took our babies. I pleaded with them that I was just a poor mother, attempting to better herself. It wasn't my fault that I was poor. How could they do this? They loaded all forty children onto their bikes and gave them to other mothers. Apart from seeing my little girl once, with a new American doll sister, I never saw her again. My heart still breaks every time I think about it. We must do something. We can not allow DPS and the government to attack the poor any longer!!

I think it's good. Real babies, have real genitalia. Maybe our children will be a little bit more comfortable and less ashamed when talking about sex when they realize that you can have genitalia without it being sexual. Nakedness, is not inherently sexual. In many cultures, families will bathe with each other, all together and naked and it's not weird because that's the societal norm. Lots of cultures have people completely butt naked and have no problems. If we became a nudist society, we wouldn't all start suddenly humping each other you know. I think it's strange that most people in our culture, even adults, barely know what the other gender's genitalia looks like and how it works. When I was little, I didn't even know that boys HAD penises. Why are we fine learning about how the heart and lungs work, but as soon as we're talking about genitalia it's so taboo?

My sympathies! And you're right. When my oldest grand was about a month old, my daughter & son in law decided to give him his first tub bath. They set the little tub on the counter & when they were finished my son in law picked the baby up, holding him from behind, to hand him to my daughter (who was holding the towel). As he did so, the baby began to pee. My son in law freaked & was turning around quickly to hand the baby to my daughter. They spent a couple of hours washing down the kitchen counters & cabinets!
