I am so fascinated by this dude. The way he speaks about music is intriguing to me.

I can't get enough of Jim talking music production. His little podcast he had during the pandemic Pass Through Frequencies is a great window into his eager intrigue with how other musicians approach their craft.

He seems like such a down to Earth guy, and still making great music!

Just wanna thank Jim for all the times he made me cry in public. I can see where he gets the emotion. Lots of melancholy music he listens to.

They blew the doors off of 1996 for me and everyone I knew who heard them. I'll never forget the first show they played in Detroit. They weren't the last act that day and somehow got 3 encores. Which wasn't a thing at those shows. After the 2nd, people actually yelled "we'll kick your ass if you get off stage". I think they said they played every song they knew afterwards. I still love those records. Thanks Amoeba!

They would play that Kings Of Convenience song all the time on the music tv channel in college. Really took me back. Thanks Jim/Amoeba!

I am a history buff. And when you hear a specialist in some history niche geek out about their specialty, there is a certain magic that makes it more interesting than it otherwise would be. And that's the exact same vibe Jim is laying down here.

This guy and the band are so great, if you’re like, “whoa omg jimmy eat world remember them?” GO LISTEN to their music. Jams on jams on jams that need more play

this episode is why i watch this series, when artists bring new (to me) music to light ,that might be enjoyed by others

I remember this band, it's as been a minute since I've heard them but that was seriously one of the best episodes of this show I've come across, all solid picks of groups I haven't heard of. His enthusiasm is infectious.

I was missing EA Sports NHL today so I was listening to Jimmy Eat World a lot all day. And then I randomly come across this 20 minutes after it's uploaded. Serendipity.

I was not at all expecting the lead singer to be a soft-spoken, methodical, and ecclectic artist, but I'm also not complaining.

So much respect for Jim and for Jimmy Eat World. Really enjoyed this interview. Looking forward to checking out, "What's In Jim's Bag."

Jim totally gives the vibe of a golden retriever 😂 jesus, i just HAD to say it 😂 like, hes got really so, so sweet personality, it's impossible not to love this guy ❤

I never got into his music, but Jim definitely has a wonderfully articulate way of thinking about music, and his thoughts on the Low record accentuated that especially.

So psyched to listen to all of these!

jim adkins always looks like a person you wanna sit to have a cup of coffee with. what a charismatic guy. no surprised he’s such an iconic frontman from one of best bands from 2000s.

perfect last LP to round out the haul. that Low record is wholly unique in its production and juxtaposed timbres. what an interesting mix from Jim. nice insights and philosophies, too. really good one, amoeba. cheers, all. hugs from afar.
