In 1976 my dad told me we were related to the new President . Thought my dad was joking . He was not . My dad and Cousin Jimmy born 6 miles apart , same month and year 3 weeks apart . My Grandmother was a Carter . Since that year , my highlights with my cousin have been hand written letters. And 3 days at a 1 in a lifetime family reunion in May of 1998 in Plains . The one on one with Jimmy and Rosalyn and his 3rd day of the reunion in the Church challenging all in that church to " Live a life than is transcendent by helping others " We all can help others on any scale , it might not be on the scale of a former President , but the former President goes by Jimmy .

Too bad people don't get these awards while they're alive. I wish people were treated as well as they are at their funerals. When are we going to remember people while they're live? Not just famous people, not just presidents. But our friends and family people we care about. Have parties for somebody. If you know somebody who's good, have a gathering in their name as if it was their funeral. And say the things about them that you would if they had passed away. Tell funny stories, Talk about the good deeds. Treat people the way you would as if they have laughed. Because they're not here and they might not have known that anybody thought that about them. And i've lost quite a few people very close together. Young people and it's getting to me. It's hard to hear all these people getting app and talking so good about them. And what they said was very true these were exceptionally good people that passed. At the same time. I don't think they knew how good they really were and how much they touched people's lives. So it would have been good to have those gatherings while they were alive. I know when I go no one will even notice. It's not because i'm bad just because most of my friends have already gone.

I hate posthumous honour. They say, " you'll never know the value of a thing until you loose it." Martin Luther was honoured after he was long gone. Some even award sainthood posthumously. Why can't we learn to appreciate people while they are healthy and strong. That is why I like Jesus Christ. We who believe are Saints and have Life already and wait to be ushered into abundant Life. Thanks to my brother Jimmy and sister Roselyn for a life well lived.

Its about time that this Country Honored them for all the millions of acts of kindness and love the shared not just Americans.... but to all peoples and countries needing help... they didn't care if it was monitoring an election making sure it was honest, or to parts of the world needing medicines, clean water. Or homes .. they've given to all... and requested nothing in return... for this selflessness and love tge Vatican should name them as True Saints weather they are of the Catholic Faith or not... they are modern-day Saints... The day we loose Ji.my... will be a tragedy for all of the world as a true star will have gone out... Thank you Mr Carter for all you did and the example you have given us...

While I cannot prove it to be true, I do think the longevity of life of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter can be summed up with... 'Live and help live.' This, where their personal beliefs beyond the real truth that is still unattainable to human beings seems to show within their long and fruitful lives. If you would like to help extend your own lives, I would say be more like the Carters and their efforts to improve humanity.

But much more important is the fact that he and his lovely bride did more to help people after they left office than any president in my lifetime. Unlike most presidents, they used the faith they felt so strongly to benefit the lives of those who truly needed to feel their love for others. I did not vote for President Carter but I have the greatest regard and respect for the man and his character and integrity.

This is incompatible with democracy and confirms dictatorship. We, the people, must reject dictatorship and announce this in all demonstrations and on social media.
