The moment I heard this song all the memories came flashing and the guilt, regrets...I felt that again. He was my first love. I tend to scare guys away just because I am not comfortable with them and so they call me "man-hater" and I always consider myself "strong independent woman" but when I met him, everything changed. He was able to destroy the walls I built around me without me noticing. We start off as classmates in 1 subject, then groupmates, then friends, then close friends then we got some mutual understanding but I ruined it. I was scared of what the outcome of out relationship would be. I am an overthinker. I got so much dreams that I want to achieve and there were what ifs running inside my head. Our personalities were so different. He's laid back and I'm serious when it comes to studies and stuff. I planned on going to different province to study and look for work which for him, I know he would be staying in our province just because he needed to. I already know from the start that we would be going on our separate ways and I did try stopping whatever is starting between us because what's the point of loving someone if you knew that you are gonna leave and hurt them eventually? But I was happy...really happy so i did enjoy the present and did not think of the future. I was really happy that I thought we would work out. But my family doesn't approve him. They don't like him for me because of some factors. They convinced me to stay away from him. They discouraged me. And me, because I love my family decided to stay away so my fam won't be disappointed with me. I told him we should remain as friends and I started not replying to his messages even though he was still so enthusiastic texting me. I left him hanging. He still kept on texting me until one day, he stopped. A week has passed and no message from him. The saying is really true that "you'll only know the value of the person when he stopped caring about you" I miss him. I miss him so much! That's what kept on running to my mind that time. And so I texted him, showing interest again and he replied. He was happy. We were happy but that did not last long. My fam noticed it and warned me again and reminded me of my dreams and that I would soon fly away. The overthinker me, thought it all out again and so....I left him hanging. AGAIN. There were times he would stop texting me but he wouldn't leave 2 days to go by without saying sorry for not texting eventhough I only reply with one word or would just answer his questions to end the convo. I was happy actually that he still message me. Yes, I am taking him for granted and I feel so sorry and realized that I can't just let him go. Then I decided that I would fight for him. I would not let my fam belittle him and was determined that we WILL work out and that he is part of my dreams!! But sadly, he already gave up on me 😢 I texted him trying to have a convo with him but it seemed like he was trying to kill our convo wverytime. And I thought..so this was how he felt when I keep ignoring him. I tried many times. I tried hinting him that I am now ready but he doesn't get it or chose not to understand it. I tried everything but then, I guess his love already died and I can't blame him that. I blamed and still blaming myself for what happened to us. He was my first love but I let him go. I don't know if he is courting other girl right now but I am still hoping it's still me. If he is with someone right now then I'll try to be happy. I will be happy

♥️🧡💛💚💙💜 This reminds me of this girl who I've known for 30 years.. we met in 1st grade and we're such good friends but as we got older, we grew apart and hung out with totally different groups and then eventually quit talking all together and kinda became stranhers...and then she had some pretty traumatic shit happen to her which resulted in her moving away from our small ass little northern Michigan town and she went thru some serious shit... she battled her own demons and struggled with being gay but she eventually came out and lived openly gay but she went thru some pretty rough times with it and dealing with her past but she joined the ARMY and she just changed...she grew up and she really ended up getting her shit together..but she never really had that great of luck w relationships and she had her heart broke so many times by too many girls who just didn't love her the way she loved them or took her for granted and on and on and she has been single for the past 6 years and had kinda just given up on love for the most part and jus focusing on her career... And Well, as for me,...I kinda went in the entirely opposite direction in my life and went wild and crazy and didn't give a single fuck, about myself mostly, and I got into shit I shouldn't of with people I shouldn't of and so I battled a 20+ year long drug addiction (I'm an 10 months and 2 days clean now, btw 😁😁)...which led me to getting myself into some serious trouble and i ended up going to state prison for almost 3 years... Ive also been married and divorced, times 2..i had 4 amazingly beautiful perfect children who my sister ended up adopting because I couldn't get my shit together and they deserved better than that and I loved them enough to know I wasnt what they needed or deserved...they dervered a stable and sober home and now they have that... Anyway, I ended up in shitty relationship after shitty relationship with every single shitty ass piece of shit person I could manage to find (Both men and women) who lied, cheated, betrayed and abuses me in every way imaginable but of course my dumbass fell in love almost every single time, and Every single time it would end in the same exact b shitty ass way by he or she always showing their true colors, treating me like a piece of shit, using me up and spitting me up out, breaking me down, taking control of my entire world just to drop me like a bad habit and breaking my pathetic, masochisric heart and always leaving me battered and bruised on the inside and usually on the outside too..and jus a little bit more broken and a whole lot more damaged each and every single gah damn time... So, I am sure it's no surprise that eventually no ended up feeling jus like she had, I kinda gave up on love too and basically had excepted the fact that maybe it was my karma and after all the wrong I had done, i was getting what I deserves and that I just wasn't meant to have anything real or good... So I quit a looking, quit hoping and quit waiting...and honestly, i haven't wanted or hoped for or dreamed about the whole idea of having my own fairy tale story book romance or ever actually finding THE ONE or the whole white picket fence thing or living happily ever after in a very very long time.. Well...😁😁 Ya know how they always say you find exactly what you want and need when you quit looking and you least expect it?? Ha!! And ain't that the GD truth!!! Cuz here we are 38 years old, haven't seen each other in over 2 decades and we reconnected and instantly, like magnets...We both... Just. Felt. It. We are like...ahhh!! SOOOOOO into each other and totally falling in love... It's the greatest feeling I never expected to feel.. and she's the most amazing and caring and giving and loyal and honest and sexy and real and non-judgmental person I have ever met and she is everything I want and exactly what I need...i never expected in a million years it would be her but I am so glad it is... She knows all about my past and my problems and she never even batted an eye...she totally excepts me for who I am and she welcomes me along with all my baggage with open arms..she wants ME FOR ME..♥️ So...i am going to Texas "on a vacation" to see her in a couple weeks..and both of us highly doubt I'm ever coming back..
