One of my favorite things to do in Jimmer highlight videos is watch the guys defending him. You can tell they are focusing, trying their hardest, but it's just never enough haha. They always try at least three different guys on him and he owns all of them.

I REMEMBER JIMMER IN HIGH SCHOOL..ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS I'VE SEEN FROM THIS AREA...BUT NEVER HAD ANY IDEAL HE WOULD BLOW UP THE WAY HE DID!!!

Funny how all the BYU fans thought they were going to win the WCC easily every year after this game. The league Is a bit tougher than it looks! Don't get me wrong, BYU is still a very good team, and that's why they still consistently make the tournament, I just wanted to point out that the WCC is actually pretty strong.

You forget though, the pgs you mentioned are all very good at other things. Rose was a great scorer, he rebounded well and averaged about 7 assists, parker as well, and nash was horrible at defense but he was exceptional at setting his teammates up and shooting the ball. All 3 of them had great systems to hide their shortcomings and utilize their strengths. San Antonio and Chicago had great defensive systems, and the suns back then played the run and gun style offense, meaning his team didnt play much defense anyway. Jimmer doesnt fit the bill because other than shoot he's not a defender and he cant really set the ball up for his teammates. his skill sets are that of a sixth man, not starting pg, on any team that is looking to win games.

xiongmu No you didnt read what i said im not loyal to fredette. I said if your a great spot up shooter there is a place for you in the league as you said there wasnt. There were great spot up shooters in the league, kerr paxson etc who had long careers who couldnt shoot off the dribble or dribble at all ,were not athletic and bad defenders,But were great spot up shooters and role players. Reason fredette is not in the league is not cause he can only spot up and shoot is that he thinks he should be the number one option and his attitude thats it. If he re adjusted his game to become a role player then he would be in the league

Watch the replay of BYU vs. Utah this year where Jimmer scored 47 vs. Utah (search "Jimmer 47 Utah" and it should be the second video). The reaction of the Utah bench when he hits the last 2 three pointers before the end of the first half is great.

I remember this. Sucked. I'm a long time Zags fan since the late 80's. Jimmer was the man though and enjoy watching him play.

1:17 that took forever to come down but man what a shoot

I watch a lot of basketball pro and college. Jimmer has a good game and could start in the NBA as a shooting option with a strong Guard who can create his shot. With a quick PG and Jimmer on the floor, even though hes undersized he will force defenses to spread out or eat shots that he snipes off of pick and rolls a dish outs from the center. I dont see him going before the 10th pick in the 1st round BUT would not be surprised to see him go at 6 or 7. Will definitely get picked up before 15th.

I think Fredette has the potential to be a very good pro; possibly an exceptional one. Just before watching this video i saw an interview with him where he mentioned Chauncey Billups as an influence; interesting, 'cause that's who he reminded me of in the last few games i saw, in how he attempted to manage the game. He's not quite as big as Billups, but has similar strength and is a superior shooter. He's also has a deceptively quick first step like Billups.

You are absolutely correct. I have NEVER seen a player treated as badly as smart treats Fredette. It appears that he is out to torment him much like he did J Lin. smart will get his ---and Fredette will hopefully ask for a trade and become an NBA superstar.

I love it at 1:11 where the guy guarding the Jimmer doesn't even try to block him. he knows he's about to get Jimmered. it's not the best angle here in this video, but if you look at for example the picture of this game on the front cover of Sports Illustrated, the guy doesn't even put his arms up!
