The way they talked about Crush was like if he was Brutus the Barber Beefcake. Crush was way more popular and was probably the nicest guy in the locker room from hearing stories from Taker, The Rock, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, Macho Man, and more. I can say this, if Brian was still alive today, you BET he'd have a good position in the WWE since it's under TKO with the Rock's management. Him and The Rock were on very good terms. The Rock still talks about how Brian Adams was selfless and gave The Rock the spotlight when The Rock was a nobody. Brian Adams didn't have to do that, but he did, and this was during a time of wrestling's biggest ego's and how most wrestlers were sharks and will lie to you and stab your back in real life. Class act of Brian Adams. Will always have my respect.

Brian Adams & Brian Clark were 2 wrestlers that got better with age. They both stepped up their game physique & skill-wise, particularly Clark. It's a shame wwe pulled the plug on them. Adams seemed like a cool guy, for whatever reason he didn't gel with fans after his 1st run. He was a much better heel. R.I.P. Kona Krush

Crush will always be my favorite. If he didn't make a huge impact then why do they bring him up in so many conversations to this day? I always found him impressive. It's not his fault that both WCW and WWE didn't know what to do with him. Any item of crush whether it was action figures or magazines, I picked up. Of course it's rare to see a new figure for crush. The ones that were released sold out quick and now are highly collectible. What does that tell you about Crush? That he's definitely a wrestler that people still remember fondly and miss terribly. The way that Kona Crush turned heel in late 1993 was dumb as hell. Yokozuna squashes Crush's sternum. Then Crush gets pissed off at Randy Savage for "no reason", and ambushes him. The following week, Crush forms an alliance with Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna "against" Randy Savage. Then Crush vs. Savage at Wrestlemania 10 was the drizzling sh*ts.

But Crush and Savage's feud/buildup was EPIC at the time!! They literally couldn't be in the same building! And I disagree about the "for no reason" bit. The storyline was that Savage was on commentary and didn't help out Crush while he was being beaten by Yoko. To me, a 10-yr old kid at the time, the heel turn made sense and was effective in getting me to hate Crush! And the massive beating he gave Savage (and then his anti-American alliance with Yoko) further sold it! Crush was truly one of THE more underrated heels of the 90s, period!

Kronik was really misused in WWE and was shit on. Kane and The Undertaker vs Kronik was a dream match and rivalry for me. What's amazing to be is usually the wrestling world disagrees time and time again with how Adams and Clark were handled throughout most of their career. Then when they were put together, people went nuts for them. Even the office in WCW tried to squash Kronik, but fans loved them. They went to WWE as a tag team, that one match where EVERYONE involved was suffering from an injury... Got them killed. They were told to go to developmental, which was such a damn slap in the face, I don't think WWE tried properly with them, and let them go for one bad mat H that EVERYONE messed up in. Yeah, Kane and Taker wouldn't get heat for it, well, Kronik should've also gotten a pass. A redo. Give them 3 months, see what they are like after that. Another WCW thing WWE fuxked up.

I disagree wholeheartedly with Ross. Crush was VERY over as a heel in late-1993/1994, and had great feuds with Savage and Lugar! And he was a fan favorite in 1993 as well. He was great as DOA leader, and did GREAT in WCW as an added muscle in NWO, The Demon, and then Kronik! I fail to see why there's this "failure" perception with the guy. The guy probably didn't have his BEST potential reached, but I disagree totally in ANY notion that he was a complete waste. I watched Crush most of his career, and yeah, he lacked some tools here and there, but fans (from what I remembered) received him about as well as they'd receive any heel!

I was never a fan of 2 big men tag teams, but Kronik was such an awesome team; granted I also really liked Adam Bomb, so makes sense for me to love this team.

Crush's face run and heel run in 92-94 were both ruined by booking. He had the pop as a face and the heat as a heel. They talk as though he had chances but blew them. He had prolific matches during pay per view events and sure, that's an opportunity but he was always booked to lose. Eventually, without any notable big wins, people start to lose interest. He just needed a few notable wins.

Well Jim I SURE AS SHIT voted for it...!!! Brian was one of my favorite big man wrestlers. The things he could do right around that 6'6 300lbs mark was off the charts. Yes he used power but he also knew martial arts or at least utilized some of them in his arsenal. You don't see too many big men his size pulling that off. And i had known for years his close friendship with Mark Calaway and kudos for Mark in going to bat for him per say. But as the saying goes; "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it". Sort of applies here. He was at times right on the cusp of breaking out into a major player and then things just fizzled. I don't know if it was lack of motivation, drug abuse, etc...I know he wrestled with those demons. One thing is for certain we lost a GREAT TALENT well before his time was up. And that's probably the most tragic part of his whole story in the end.

I loved that character, he was a badass. So I dont understand how people said Kronik didn't work, hell I thought and I know many fans loved that tag team, so who was man there saying they didn't work. I mean these are the same people who pushed red rooster and the fucking repoman for godsake. Yeah they weren't the the Chris Jericho or Bret harts of the world but they were just a bit better then Goldberg in the ring so how the fuck didn't they work? Seems to me they booked them wrong and didn't want to admit it. They worked as both Crush and Adam Bomb and had fan bases and so how is they were "good wrestlers" then but all of a sudden as Kronik they "dont work " I smell bs. Maybe the company just wasn't comfortable pushing a pro weed tag team back then.

I think it's because someone starts a narrative and it just gets repeated over and over. I've been watching 1992-93 era WWF lately and the fans clearly like Crush. But guess what else happened? Doink comes out during an important match for Crush, somehow captures his complete attention, Crush loses. This happened MULTIPLE times. You can only make a Babyface look like an idiot so many times before fans think that hey, maybe he is an idiot.

Exactly, he had many squash matches and beat mid carders but lost all of his bigger matches. Knocked out and counted out against Luger when distracted by Doink, lost WM9 because of 2 Doinks, lost IC title opportunity because of Doinks, failed to slam Yokozuna and then lost the match against him as "a message to Luger". How was he supposed to succeed? The fan support was there, just not the results.@@richardtheconquerer

WWE's backwards-ass logic has always been "Well if a guy has a stupid gimmick but the fans like them anyway, that means he's ready". But that's not always the case. It's like they use the Undertaker as the yardstick for everyone to get over but they fail to understand that not everyone gets over the same way. You can't stick everybody into a giant cucumber costume, give them a pogo stick and expect that if he can't get over as "Buford the bouncing cucumber" than he just doesn't have a future.
